Afrontamos el rediseño de la web de ACH Arquitectos con la ventaja de que tanto el cliente como nosotros teníamos claro lo que queríamos. No obstante, la web anterior la diseñó nuestro estudio hace cuatro años y conocemos desde hace mucho tiempo a los integrantes de este reconocido estudio de arquitectura canario. Nuestro compañero Arístides diseñó una interfaz minimalista, en la que la fotografía de los proyectos es la estrella y los paneles de información se retiran para dar protagonismo a la imagen. David programó la web sobre nuestro gestor de contenidos habitual, adaptado a las especificidades de cada cliente, y realizó la maquetación en HTML5 y CSS3. El diseño es adaptivo, lo que quiere decir que dependiendo del dispositivo desde el que se vea, el diseño se transforma para adaptarse al tamaño de la pantalla, con lo que se puede disfrutar de igual manera en un equipo de sobremesa o en un smartphone.

KidKoo is a communication app that’s assigned to kids by their school counselor or school therapist. Students identified as being at-risk due to behavioral changes (anxiety/depression, absenteeism; etc.) at home or at school would have scheduled and non-scheduled check-ins with their therapist during and after school. At this stage, the app allows the child to write into 6 input fields, each input field represented by a different emotion, Happy, Proud, Disappointed, Worried, Sad and Angry. The posts go directly to the counselor, who can review the posts and based on the information provided by the child, can better prepare for meetings with the child and research and implement resources if needed. If the child were to use any red-flag words in the post, such as hate or hurt, those words would be highlighted for the counselor. Designed and Programmed using: JavaScript, JQuery, HTML5, CSS3, Node.js, JSON, Bootstrap, Bash, Adobe Illustrator, Git (2016)

Producing fully justified text blocks that look good is challenging, and even with today’s much improved CSS3 typography tools it is still tough to pull off justified text reliably, particularly given the plethora of screens and operating systems. A notorious fault in justified text is the presence of “rivers” of white space that seem to run vertically through lines of awkwardly spaced justified text.
