This was technically the last aircraft to be built as a Bombardier CS.300. The decision for Airbus to take over the Bombardier CS100/300 programme was taken on 16-Oct-17 by Airbus, Bombardier and the Quebec Government. The agreement was ratified on 01-Jul-18.
First flown with the Bombardier test registration C-FOUY on 19-May-18, the aircraft was delivered to Aviation PLC (AVAP) and leased to Air Baltic as YL-CSI in Jun-18.
Airbus leased it back from Air Baltic for display in the static park at the 'Farnborough Airshow 2018'. It arrived at Farnborough on 15-Jul-18, still with 'Bombardier CS.300' titles under the small Air Baltic titles beneath the flight deck windows. Not for long though, by the time the Show opened the following day the 'Bombardier CS.300' had been replaced with 'Airbus A220-300'... Current, 11-Jul-21.
