I made this pen before lunch this Sunday morning, kinda relaxing after a busy week. Took the photo in a home made light box by hanging the pen with the same colour cotton as the back drop.
Subtitle: there must be an easier way to make snowflakes! ;-)

A little crafty scene where scale has gone out of the window - the thread and reel are as they should be . The needles are much bigger than normal ( I think they are something to do with knitting rather than sewing a button on ) , and of course the little sewing machine is indeed little being less than 2 inches wide and set with diamonds - well they look like diamonds but are certainly not for the price than this little brooch cost !!

Aaahhhh finally started working on the mushroom house !!! I'm rather happy with the door & the climbing rose tree too. Both the door & window killed me, it took ages ! :D (Oct. 14th 2008)
The lifeboat is almost in the water here , still 15 feet high in the air. Part of an exercise in sar craft operations , escaping the gas platform.

Spotted these lovely crocheted flowers being crafted by a young disabled woman at a small footpath stall near my hotel. As part of my purchase she kindly allowed me to photograph her stock. Hopefully I can catch her again tomorrow to offer her a copy of the picture.
Standby vesssel Esvagt Supporter's fast rescue craft. These rescue teams are amazingly professional. Once an alarm of a man overboard on a rig has been raised these crews can launch their craft do the rescue and return the casualty to safety in 3 to 5 minutes.
the bird stamp i traced from a wonderful doorbell plate from flopping fish. the bird on the bottom right is the first trial stamping; you can see that i hadn't carved out the legs yet. the last trial stamping is the bird on top. i really love this stamp and used it right away to decorate the front of a postcard to a friend.
