The designation on this piece is an "Apple 820-0780-A". Googling that brings up several different specifications. One is 120MHz, 133MHz, 150MHz PowerPC 604 CPU.
I assume there is another more specific identifier somewhere on the board, but that was the only one I saw after taking off the massive heatsink.
Doesn't it kinda looke like an aerial survellance photo?
RAW: Auto everything
The Scythe cooler I ordered for the studio PC fits in my system well, so it's not a loss, and I needed a replacement cooler anyways. CPU temps have dropped by on average 5 degrees during load, from a previous of 55C (ouch) to now usually under or at 50C.
This is an AMD Athlon 64 3500+ processor looks like after four years of use... wel, you couldn't tell the difference, but it looks quite cool any way

The underside of an old AMD processor. Shot 18 images with a Canon 1000D, 100mm macro lens at f/11 then focus stacked.
I was wondering why Flock browser feels so heavy. Was it only my feeling? Well, my CPU's feeling as well.
CPU stands for 'Cayce Pollard Unit'. Cayce is a character in the William Gibson novel "Pattern Recognition". A friend chose that name to describe the typically minimalist and dark outfits she wears most of the time. In this scene she is in Tokyo and spending someone else's money, so she splurges. The resulting description of her 'fabulous' outfit sounded like something I could do. It's almost done. I just need to find a way to put a waistband on the skirt (or find a different skirt).
