NATO paplašinātās klātbūtnes Latvijā kaujas grupu vada Kanāda, un to veido vairāk nekā 1000 karavīru no Albānijas, Itālijas, Kanādas, Polijas, Slovēnijas un Spānijas.

 

Pērn NATO samitā Varšavā NATO valstu un valdību vadītāji apstiprināja vienošanos par daudznacionālo bataljona līmeņa kaujas grupu izvietošanu Igaunijā, Latvijā, Lietuvā un Polijā. Kaujas grupu izveides un izvietošanas mērķis ir veicināt NATO īstenoto atturēšanu un stiprināt alianses aizsardzību.

Pērn NATO samitā Varšavā NATO valstu un valdību vadītāji apstiprināja vienošanos par daudznacionālo bataljona līmeņa kaujas grupu izvietošanu Igaunijā, Latvijā, Lietuvā un Polijā.
