After doing the masculine card the other day I decided that I wanted to put together a couple more cards using the same materials and techniques. The card to the right was the first card I created and then I used the same technique of colouring in the stamps with the markers and creating the 3 toned effect.
Thanks for looking!

For Hero Arts December challenge. I used the color combo (kraft, white, green, red, and slate blue - which looks gray or silver to me) this month. I also used the adding shine technique (using Pearly Sparkle Gelly Glitter by gel-a-tins over my Peeled Paint Distress Ink for the tree).

I made quite a few of these, here are the four colors together. On a rainy day the photo is not great. These are winelabels, but unfortunately they are finished now. Luckily I had saved one, which I can scan if I need too.

Made with Hero Arts CL469, CL459,CL343 and a large match box (the ones that hold the long wooden matches) Thought these would make a fun hostess gift along with a bottle of wine when visiting friends this holiday season (filled with scented Christmas candles). The background is distressed with broken china on pattern paper and the snow is made from a swiss dots card stock torn into strips
Thank you for looking! :)

I have always wanted to make a patchwork pumpkin! Betty made this wish come true because she not only sent me her lovely pumpkin card here
www.flickr.com/photos/bjkne/8054080738/in/faves-25616484@...
but also two templates so that I could make my own. OK so I drew around the pieces so they are not accurate but it did give me the satisfaction I wanted! I also stamped some swirls from the HA acrylic swirl Christmas set.
I could make these all day :)
And by the way, I love pumpkin soup with apples to make it sweet! I will add that recipe to my blog when I share this and Betty's card on there.
This card is going to go to the challenge over on The Ribbon Girl's blog as it represents the challenge colors for October.
Pairing a cling tree silhouette stamp with the Reindeer from the Swirl Christmas stamp set of Hero Arts.
I recently received the Frames set from Stampendous via a lovely blog friend and didn't realize that they are a new release... what I did see was that the Reindeer just fitted inside the smaller frame. I wanted to start adding, a sentiment, more pearls, some gems and then I thought, no just leave it as it is... I love this Reindeer from the Christmas swirl set of Hero Arts.
I wanted to try this card design again, but differently, so I just used a different color pp, cut out the smaller frame and added more embellishments.
So lovely to be back but I haven't had much time to craft. I had this idea in my head for a long time and finally managed to make a vintage design combining the tree cling and the reindeer from Hero Arts. I stamped on some old music paper which had a stamp on it 'Le Signe' from the Music School - I think it is very old, so I kept that intact. This is for the holiday card challenge using one of my favorite stamping techniques, using distress ink direct to the stamp and then spraying with water.

Entering for the Mad about Metallic challenge (Gold thread, gold embossing), Hero Arts Holiday Challenge. See close-up on my Blog.
Yesterday I made my first Shaker card and really loved the effect. So made another today.I adore this Holly stamp as its just perfect for coloring, which I like very much. So I colored my stamp on some Kraft paper, added some glossy accent on the berries and then made a shaker card out of it. It looks amazing. Sorry for the bad photo, its been raining since morning here. TFL

I had an old style postcard in mind when making this card. I absolutely love the Carte Postale set by Hero Arts. For the postal stamp I used one of the wine labels Jacqueline sent me. I wiped the ink of the swallows and stamped the frame and corner images first on the label, then masked the border and stamped the dove, cut it out and adhered on the stamped image on the card. The background was white embossed and covered with broken china and dusty concord distress inks. The sentiment was also clear embossed. TFL!

I wanted to make a card for a male friend of mine that is on the Jenny Craig program with me. He is doing great with his weight loss and I wanted to send him a card letting him know he's a star!
The stars I've stamped are from the 'Swirl Christmas' clear set. I've randomly coloured the star stamps with my Whispers Strokes Dual Tip Brush Markers to create a marbled effect. The little black stars are old Junkitz gems that I've had in my stash for ages. The background is the Cuttlebug 'Candy Cane Stripe' embossing folder. The sentiment is from the 'All Occasion' clear stamp set.
Thanks for looking and have a wonderful Easter!
Here's the card I made for today's Hero Arts 90 minute scramble, hosted by Trinh. I chose the first option to make a non-holiday card using fall or winter holiday stamps.
Hero Arts supplies:
CL469: swirl Christmas (I used the star and the small swirl)
CL497: find joy
S5458: florentine pattern
mocha (or latte?) layering paper
pool layering papers - LOVE these!!!
pool shadow ink
latte chalk ink
I LOVE the new pool papers! And I just got the pretty swirl Christmas set and I love how the swirls match the florentine pattern! Kind of a funky photo, though - the colours are off a bit...
Anyway, TFL, and thanks so much for hosting, Trinh - I loved your theme and I'm so glad I was able to play along! And I'll be sending this one off to Operation Write Home!
This is a Christmas Tag using one of the few wine-labels I still have left! Still have some for sale on Etsy if anyone is interested. I used the dove from the Swirl Christmas acrylic set after sponging with Tea Dye ink and stamping some holly and snowflakes. These make nice little gifts for Christmas and are quicker to make than a Christmas card! I am going to make some more in green and red. Added some string so that the recipient can hang it up.
With a giant leap this morning we jumped into the winter: a beautiful carpet of snow up on the beach of the North Sea.

When I was little, our church decorated every year for the holidays. There was one area, where they put up a whole row of Blue Spruce trees, and each of them had the large, old-fashioned holiday light bulbs strung through it, with only blue bulbs. I could get lost for hours just staring at the beauty of those blue spruce trees and the peaceful blue lights. And I wanted to capture a little bit of that magic in this card.
The focal image was made by placing vellum onto my non-stick craft sheet. Using a blending tool and felt, I applied Eggplant, Stream, Pool, and Citrus alcohol inks from Ranger using the polished stone technique. I think alcohol inks spread really beautifully on vellum, and I love the results. I set the vellum aside to dry, and cleaned my craft sheet with blending solution.
When the vellum was dry, I stamped the tree from Hero Arts CL469 Swirl Christmas on top using Tsukineko VersaMark watermark ink. Then I heat embossed it with Zing Blue Glitter embossing powder by American Crafts, using my Heat It craft tool (heat gun). I used 3M Vellum Tape to adhere the embossed vellum to white cardstock. Then I die cut and dry embossed it using Spellbinders Nestabilities Curved Rectangles.
I added a star punched from iridescent white origami paper. The card base is Bazzill Frosted Teal textured card stock, wrapped with white ribbon, and mounted to a white card base. It is hard to capture the true effect of the blue glitter and iridescent star in a photo.
I love the clean and simple look for this card. To me, it really captures the essence of the peaceful feeling I would get, looking at all those pretty blue spruce trees.
Thanks for looking! :-)
The curls framing the tree are on the stamp the antlers of a reindeer. The snow drawned subtle on the letters. The pine tree is transparent embossed, red with green and yellow stamped background and then the snowflakes at the bottom. As a matter of fact there is a lot to discover in this card.
Stamps: Hero Arts (CL459 Merry Christmas Trees, CL469 Swirl Christmas, CL462 Magic Of Christmas, CL461 Wishes Come True)
Ink: Distress (Pine Needles, Mustard Seed, Barn Door) - Versafine (Onyx Black)
Paper: Bazix A4 230 gr (6204 Granny Smith, 3304 Passion) - cardstock 250 gr (white) - cardstock 120 gr (white)
Other: Ranger (Super Fine Detail Powders Clear, Non-Stick Craft Sheet, Ink Blending Tool) - Artemio (punch (Snowflake), gelpen (White)) - embossing marker (Clear) - 3D foam tape – doublesided tape - Scor-It
This was card was created for Scramble 98. Wow almost to 100 Scrambles. The theme was snow, any form of it. We all love the snowy cards so this was a lot of fun. This one is about plan c or d. My plans were not working so well today. That's how you learn is trying stuff.
The background was sprayed with Glitter Mist. Then I used a new stencil I just got to create the snow using white embossing paste with glitter sprinkled on top. It is a Memory Box stencil called Winter Tiny Snowflakes. The trees are from a Hero Arts set which I cannot figure out which one. They are stamped on white and colored a with gold Wink of Stella. The star is done using yellow Stickles. The greeting is from Hero Arts Swirl Christmas (CL469) using Delicata gold pigment ink.
I had leftover circles from a sketch which never worked out and I turned them into fun tags. The circles bases are lefovers from Christmas window cards. Very frugal:) The inner circles are poped up for dimention. TFL! More details on my blog

The theme for LaVon's Scramble today was diagonal.
I was going along on my merry way making a diagonal background. Then oops didn't think it out. Start over. Working with gold shiny paper is a challenge. Glue shows up and 3-in-1 glue removes the shiny gold from the paper if you try to rub it off.
Background - A card size shiny gold paper then I cut all the red plaid pieces so that I had a narrow gold strip.
The wreath - Hero Arts My Monthly Hero September 2016. I cut two different wreaths. The kraft paper is the woody wreath. Then I used two different colors of green for the leafy wreaths. I lightly touched all wreaths with white pigment ink to look like just a tiny bit of snow. It is probably hard to see in the photo.
The bird - I stamped it with Hero Arts Royal Red ink. It is from Hero Arts set Swirl Christmas (CL469) and hand cut it.
The sentiment is an already made one I had hanging around. I like the size and color of it for this card.
Darn it.. I meant to post this to Merry Monday but got busy doing Halloween stuff and forgot.
