My entry for the HeroArts website challenge. I was inspired by this card

www.heroarts.com/cardmaking/cardIdea.cfm?cardID=3382&...

I have used wire and beads for the birds tail, and I also improvised a bit with the flower stamp, inking up different portions to create four different flowers from the one stamp.

I've got SE Asian dolls stamp set yesterday.

Oh...really love play with this stamp :)

So glad that I get to make a card for this card drive!! I based my card on the sketch. The text background and the green swirl pieces were from my stash. I only added the three ferns and the sentiment to finish the look. I also used a Spellbinders die to cut the green alcohol inked piece.

I just relized that this card is good for many categories! LOL! Dose the three ferns stamp count as "3 of a kind" ??? =)

Thanks for hosting this super fun event, Hero Arts! I am so glad to be able to give back a little. =)

love this silhouette grass stamp

I used Shari's coloring layering technique for this card.

Have wanted to try the double stamping and embossing technique for awhile now. I was inspired by Jennifer McGuire's card: heroarts.com/blogs/club/files/2009/06/063009-photo-fold-o...

It is a card I will send to my momma, it was just taken during her visit with us this week.

Hero Arts stamps: CL281 Whimisal Frames, K5153 Heart Flourish, S5213 Dots and Flowers, and CL140 Thinking of You Messages.

Tim's inks: Scattered Straw, Worn Lipstick, Aged Mahogany.

TFL! We finally got some sun!

Not too happy with this one.....I find the colours are not "matchy poo" enough for me LOL!

HA stamps: S5032 Design Block Stencil, CL140 Thing of You Messages, CL124 Circular Designs, and CL298 Scattered Leafs.

Diecuts: Largest Square Scallop of Nestabilities, Circut flower shape.

TFL!

I thought I would try and improve on one of the first cards I uploaded here. I used different stamps but the same sort of style.

I'm not sure I improved it that much and I'm going to blame it on my cold that has made my head fuzzy and congested :)

I used distress inks, clear embossing and more distress inks. Everything on this card is on foam dots so the card isn't as flat as the first one. The sentiment hangs off the card here and there's a bit more interest with a button.

Thanks for stopping by!

I love this simple flower embossed in white against a Distress Ink Background and using Hero Arts beautiful background images

Lucy sent me a photo from her honeymoon: www.flickr.com/photos/32198792@N08/3853121209/

and right away it inspired me to make a card in those colours. I don't think I have ever done a pastel card before :)

another chance to play with my new Hero Arts goodies

just to let you know I have straightened the sentiment frame...it was driving me crazy

Pretty quick card made with some scraps hanging around. This is for a friend who just started a new job.

Stamped dots and flowers with chalk ink and added dots with stardust pen. The asian circle was stamped and embossed on leftover distress paper and coloured in with stardust pens. It was mounted on a piece of scrap embossed copper metal which I used the backside of for the silver colour. The green piece is embossed with forest branch. Added sentiment, gems and ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by!

I created the design for this card a while back but used different products on it. Was excited about this week's challenge so i could use it again with some HA of course! ;o) Thanks for peeking!

***Thanks Arlene for the Cuttlebug Group invite! Had no idea there was one! One more thing to keep me glued to the computer! LOL!

After a week of trying to convince my DH to make a card, and after a week of watching him squirm at the thought, I finally decided to put myself in his shoes...at which point I quickly let him off the hook.

I realized that while we support each other in our interests, we can't force our interests on each other. The thought of making a card is as foreign to him as doing a triathlon is to me, yet we each do these activities all the time.

So, as a thank you to my DH for supporting me in my interests, I made this layout to show him how proud I am of his accomplishments and hard work.

The background was stamped with Versamark. Text was stamped with

vingtage photo distress ink. For the ferns I patted several distress inks on the stamp directly then spritzed the stamp with water before stamping the image. Once dry, I lightly sprayed the stamped panel with Glimmer Mist in Old Lace. Image panel is adhered to the card base using foam adhesive.

Not for any challenges, just sharing. :) A card I did for a Scrapbook News & Review assignment earlier this year (lost the original shot for the magazine, so had to take this one over again). I love how the Cuttlebug Leafy Branch embossing folder goes so well with the Hero Arts Bird on a Branch stamp. I used the stamp with black ink, colored the birds with a red marker, then added red Stickles to them to make them sparkle.

EDIT TO ADD: this card is an A7 size (5x7 inches). Since the embossing folders are only A2 size, to make the embossed design stretch the length of the card, I just ran the white strip through the folder twice - once on one end, and again on the other. Hidden under the stamped panel is a very obvious break in the embossed deisgn, since the white strip is all one piece. Just bein' tricky. LOL ;) Thanks for asking, chief!

And thanks for looking! :)

Someone stop me from mass producing ATC's, lol!!

Thanks for looking :D

Supplies:

- White cardstock

- Stamps: Hero Arts K4923, CL140

- Ink: Distress Inks (Broken China, Shabby Shutters, Brushed Corduroy), Versamark.

- White embossing powder

- Metallic accents

I had a blast with all the flower combinations for this set of cards...all the bases are some variation of layout with the blank chocolate oval. My niece can choose which sentiment she wants, peel off the mounting tape papers and off she goes!

I'm really in my element when I can make everything from scratch...Love using my Hero Arts clear stamps so I can see what I'm doing making background papers, fitting sentiments onto shapes, and placing design elements!

I made this card for the Hero Arts January contest for both the masking technique and the card insides theme.

For the masking, everything on the white panel is a single layer. I'd originally tried to use a quick-drying pigment ink, but am much happier with the results I got here using Memento Rich Cocoa dye ink.

And the inside can be seen here.

I don't know why, but card sets seem to suck all mojo from me. I had pondered ideas for teacher sets for a while now, but came up with very little. I was under the wire last night, and Shari's color layering video came to the rescue!

You can see it's pretty much a lift of her idea; I used the Earth Flowers set in the same way and added the Silhouette Grass on some cards. Individual photos in my photostream. Thanks for looking!

another card for the current challenge based on the current moxie fab tuesday trigger.

Just a card for the Embellish magazine color challenge for this week using the colors green, black, and craft, and you have to have at least one butterfly on it as well. More info on my blog annescabincreations.blogspot.com/

Humm.... I am wondering if this is "manly" enough.... But think it would be nice to give to a boy....

I was just playing with the Modern Lines and thought that if I stamp it twice with two different colors.............. I kind of like the two color effect. Hopefully it won't be too busy of a background. I used Screen Shadow as the background of the little bird and drew on the grass.

Please forgive my hand having to steady the card since it was a little windy outside when I went to take the picture.

TFL. =)

My first card for the pairing up challenge with my lovely talented partner Agata...we decided to use one background stamp. one floral stamp and one sentiment stamp

Heres a card I did for my friend Kim's challenge, offthewallcraftiness.blogspot.com/

Thanks so much for looking! :)

A bit hooked on making flowers lately :-) Used an old Hero Arts stamp to create background for the flower - LL582, Greeting - CL140, Bracket background - H2141.

Loving this fabulous stamp set

Still playing with Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Chipped Sapphire, with Soft Graphite for the "La Lettre" text. Can't get away from the blues. A bit of Diamond stickles on the butterfly. I created a mask for the square so that when I stamped the "La Lettre" text, it would only go on the squares.
