Abandon Chelsea Motel along US Route 66. Before the interstate by passed it, I bet this was full every night. Although abandon, the property is listed on the National Register of Historic Places
Last weekend, finally out of lockdown, I ventured out to visit friends living near Chelsea Harbour. Before the pandemic, I was often out late in this area with my tripod - here is one of those shots.
Chelsea bridge, viewed from the top of Battersea power station, in 'Lift 109'.
The original bridge dated from 1858.
The current bridge was opened in 1937 by the Canadian Prime Minister Mackenzie King.
At the bottom is Grosvenor Rail Bridge, opened in 1860.
At the top is the Royal Hospital Chelsea, home to the Chelsea Pensioners, with there very distinctive uniforms.
Founded by King Charles ll in 1682, and designed by Sir Christopher Wren, it opened in 1692.
And to this day it cares for around 300 army veterans.

This, the second Chelsea Bridge, built in 1937 is the first self-anchored suspension bridge in Britain. Going over the River Thames in west London, the bridge connects Chelsea to Battersea. London, England. 2022.

The brick building at 547 W 26th Street, built in 1914 as a taxi stand, relocated from Annie Leibovitz's studio and dance stage at Cedar Lake to Chelsea Factory (2021-spring 2025), a five-year pop-up space in the heart of Manhattan dedicated to the artists of New York City that served more than 5,000 New York artists. Behind the brick Chelsea Factory building on 26th Street, there are stunning views of the glass towers of Hudson Yards.
I took a walk through Chelsea. Chelsea is a neighborhood on the West Side of the borough of Manhattan in New York City.

Chelsea Piers is a series of piers in Chelsea, on the West Side of Manhattan in New York City. They were originally a passenger ship terminal in the early 1900s. The piers are currently used by the Chelsea Piers Sports & Entertainment Complex.
