What a noise!

40145 on full chat takes the Chester line after negotiating the Junction off the WCML at Acton Grange ... happy days.

CFPS work party at work on 40145. job for the day was to lift the loco. the reason was to get access to the segmental bearing to repair the damage caused in the derailment at Stourton that lead to its withdrawal from service.

Members present on that day were D Holden, B Jones, J Mackay, R Fraiser, B Macdonugh, G Thornton an Duncan from Rugby (surname slips my Memeroy) and some other who i cannot remember.Once No1 end was Completed it was time for No2 End. A long but enjoyable day. Arived back at Carlisle of the Royal Highlander.

CIUDAD DE PUEBLA, México. Ago. 27, 2010. – El pasado Viernes se llevó a cabo la reunión de coordinadores de las Universidades integrantes del torneo Bicentenario de Futbol 2010, la cita fue en el salón “Octavio Paz” de la UPN en donde el Presidente del Torneo el Mtro. Efraín Carrasco Galeote, en compañía del Vicepresidente el Lic. Alfonsín Valderrama Rojas y del Director de la comisión Disciplinaria el Lic. Ernesto Rodríguez Guzmán dieron a conocer los lineamientos del Torneo.

 

En primera instancia el Mtro. Efraín Carrasco Galeote agradeció la confianza depositada en el Torneo, y en especial a los coordinadores ya que sin su intervención la conformación de los 12 equipos no seria posible.

 

Por su parte el Vicepresidente presento la estructura administrativa, el sistema de competencia e informo los medios en los que se conocerá el torneo impulsando a las Universidades participantes, destacando la publicación de resultados en un periódico de distribución universitaria gratuito, y el programa de radio dominical el cual será dedicado exclusivamente al torneo.

 

Por su parte el Lic. Ernesto Rodríguez Guzmán, dio a conocer el reglamento por el cual se regirán todos los equipos. Manifestando que lo rígido que pudiera parecer se debía a que se busca cuidar la integridad de los jugadores,

 

Antes de dar término a la asamblea se realizo el sorteo para la conformación de los grupos, quedando de la siguiente manera:

La dinámica del sorteo consistió en que cada coordinador o representante de universidad tomaba uno de 12 sobres previamente colocados en un costado del estrado.

 

Para finalizar se sometió a Votación la elección de la premiación del tercer lugar o del goleador del torneo, obteniendo la mayoría con 11 votos a favor de la premiación del tercer lugar, siendo el Instituto Volkswagen el único que voto por la premiación del goleador.

 

Los Coordinadores asistentes fueron: el Lic. Oscar Zacarías Cerón de la UVP, el Lic. Arturo López Vázquez del Instituto Volkswagen, el Lic. Marco Aurelio Celada Martínez de la UDES, el Lic. Luis Ángel Ramírez Mejía de la UDAL, el Lic. Emilio Aldaraca Castro de Grupo Isima, el Lic. Abraham López López de la U. Angelópolis, el Lic. Esteban Dávalos Rojas de UPN, el Lic. Francisco García Torres del CEGDO ambos turnos, por parte de la Lic. Diana Hernández del CFP del Lic., Moisés Caporal Cosme de la EGI y de la Lic. Pilar Luna del CMUCH, asistieron los DT de los equipos.

 

Class 40's number 345 and D335 accelerate through Burrs with 2J77 the 1305 Heywood to Rawtenstall on 8th March 2014. Both locos entered traffic in 1961.

40086 & 40084 head the CFPS 'Silver Jubilee' railtour past Denton Junction on Sat 5th March 1983. The tour ran as 1Z94, the 08.30 York to London Euston traveling out via Wakefield, Hudderfield, Stockport & Crewe and returned via Edge Hill, then back over the Pennines (through Wakefield) to York.
