This morning I watched a Bobcat saunter in from the woodline up to my watering tank. I just happened to be looking out our Kitchen window to see this. He spent a good 5 minutes drinking and then sauntered away. Funny thing, it wasn't 2 minutes later that 3 Deer wandered in for their morning drink. the Deer were hesitant at first, I'm sure they caught scent of the cat. But they got a good drink also.
This pic is from my Trail Cam, the light was very dim so the pic was very grainy. I worked on it in PS a bit and sized it small so it would be more presentable.

The new fenceline seems to be making a difference with stock exclusion above the fenceline [worth viewing LARGE]
This is the River Cam as it flows out of Cambridge and towards Ely on a still, bright and wonderfully cloudy day.
I never thought I'd love this guy so much. He has such a presence.

As some of you know. I have been without a camera for some time now... each time I would think I was going to choose that next baby. A financial obstacle would always get in the way.
Awhile ago... a fellow Flickr friend made an incredibly generous offer to give me his old camera to use. Free of charge, no strings attached... at the time, I had politely declined. The offer alone was enough to bring a tear to my eyes.
"You are a sweetie Brent"
I eventually decided to take him up on this wonderful offer... the camera arrived this past weekend. (and) I have a series of shots I did Sunday that I will post this week.
But first, I wanted to start my new Flickr life with a few photos featuring the camera itself... some of you may recognize it. Please check out his photostream. Brent and the rest of the gang in Winnipeg are quite special people.

As for my financial situation... things are much smoother now and I even have a camera I've been thinking about. But, right now, more than anything, I want to thank Brent for making it possible for me to get an early start on this.

The river flows through lock gates at Waterbeach and onwards towards Ely. Just before the River Cam reaches Ely it joins onto and become the River Great Ouse.
