Much has been written over the years about the mystique of the Santa Fe and the boundless beauty of the Southwest in which the railroad built through to achieve the Pacific. Kingman Canyon testifies to that as a westbound vehicle train is escorted downgrade by a trio of BNSF C4s.

With it's mid-train helpers now cut in, this loaded coal train throttles up out of Livingston and immediately begins the climb up Bozeman Pass.
I was surprised by how many unit coal trains are now running with either DC-motored units or C4s. So much for these units being for fast intermodal trains.

Fresh 'outta the box' C4s 7121 and 7122 work up grade with an eastbound Q train as a westbound vehicle (V) train awaits its turn.

A trio of C4s lead an east-bound intermodal past the venerable searchlights that guard the CPKC diamonds in Savanna. Like most searchlights on Class 1s these days, these vintage lights are scheduled for replacement in the near future.
Spankin' new C4s, 8377, 8375, 8376, and 8374, on their maiden voyage lead the Z ALTWSP9 21A past the old ATSF location of Zarah on BNSF's Emporia Sub. Shawnee, Ks.
Went out and took a few shots of Greg's 996 C4s while on location for another shoot. Stay tuned for more...

The Miami Blue with dark blue convertible top looks pretty great! And usually I would choose black wheels, but silver wheels look pretty stellar on this as well.

A 1987 Chevrolet Corvette C4 convertible. The C4 was the fourth generation Corvette which was produced from 1984 - 1996. A total of 366,227 C4s were produced. The C4 convertible was introduced in 1986.
