Tail number and other markings on the vertical stabilizer of the Lockheed C-5m Super Galaxy.
The C-5 is among the largest military aircraft in the world with a length of 247 feet 1 inch, wingspan of 222 feet 9 inches and capable of carrying a payload 270,000 pounds.
This C-5m Super Galaxy, 60023, is assigned to the 433rd Airlift Wing, stationed at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.

Still actively registered to Airdrie Aviation, one of 550 built by Canadian Car & Foundry in Thunder Bay ON after the war. It served with the RCAF as 20273 and served in Penhold AB until 1964. Loaned to the museum since 1988.

2nd Battalion, Sergeants. Malta. 1913
Served as a Corporal with 2nd Btn in Boer War and awarded the Queen's South Africa Medal with clasps for service in the Orange Free State & Belmont. Also gained the Kings South Africa Medal with clasps for 1901 & 1902.
Harry C Asplin CSMS 4953 went to France on 6th November 1914 with the 2nd Btn. Won the DCM with D Coy , wounded. In Spring 1919 he was with the 7th Reserve Btn & his home address was 65 Newington Street Northampton.
