This image was created from multiple exposures blended together in Photoshop CS6 layers using the "Lighten" blend mode. All exposures were taken with a single Paul C. Buff Einstein strobe with a 22" beauty dish attached to a Elinchrom boom arm and a 3-stop B&W ND filter attached to my lens. If you send me a FlickrMail message, I'll be more than happy to send you some information on mostly how I photograph this style and what equipment I use, along with some YouTube video links that help explain this process.

Hi All,
I managed to creep closer to Mr. Pileated than my last post of him. I clicked away as he pecked fast and furiously, (more like head banging)! :0(

Back to business. Returning sometimes feels like jumping on a moving train. New Orleans, btw, was awesome. I think Allison and I found our Vegas.
Terrific Tuesday to you.

I take pictures because I like it, not because I am good at it.

Hands clenched... holding a pen like a dagger... I am intrigued.
So my PC worked perfectly as would be expected yesterday and I was beginning to doubt myself. So far this morning it has again been doing weird unexpected things, software hanging unresponsive, random errors. It's brand new. The software is newly installed. It should not be doing this. I swear this machine is possessed!
I was going to attempt editing some of my 500+ waiting photos but now my trust in this computer is smashed again.
Anyway... I truly hope that you all have a wonderful weekend ahead my Flickr friends. Stay safe out there and keep the shutters clicking.
This location has changed in the last few years from farming to selling. Just shows the old style to the new in the prairies Saskatchewan, Canada.

There was plenty of sad faces last week to see the last runs' of the long lasting C40-8 fleet that graced the rails of the former DM&IR for many years. Thankfully, it was business as usual for the captive fleet of six axle DMIR, IC and BLE EMD's. We were up early on Wednesday morning to be in place at sunrise for a southbound U713 with 3 LaGrange veterans. DMIR 408 plus 2 hits the morning sun as the taconite steams in the cold morning air about to duck under Rte 33 in Grand Lake, MN.
Max Luxury - Standing Chalkboard w/chalk has 3 textures that change at a time on both sides when touched. When you purchase, you get the light and dark versions of Max Luxury - Standing Chalkboard.
Also as a BONUS are the two-layer light and dark versions of the board for your textures, select the side you want in edit mode and apply your texture.
The textures on both sides are changing separately. The version is double-layered, so that when using your texture with a transparent background - ***.png, the chalkboard texture is visible below it.
The KCS Business train, running as CPKC train D40B-13, is southbound near Gentry Arkansas. The train is making its return trip to Shreveport Louisiana after spending a couple days in Kansas City chauffeuring CPKC guests around for different events.
That's a lot of legal business to sponsor a full-time supermaxi yacht like this 100 footer. Racing yachts like this cost anywhere up to $20 million to build and equip. The estimated annual running costs, including salaries for the professional crew, can be anywhere between $3-5 milllion.
KillerKat the ever astute business kat, decided it would be a great idea to install one of his ever-popular fart machines at the trendy WasteLand Arcade.
Kea did a great shot of this too, which can be viewed here.
