I would have to say one of the most oddly satisfying occurances is acquiring a large bucket of day-old donuts for $6. Voodoo Donuts, Portland OR. That's one of my roommates holding the prize.
We proceeded to hand donuts out to homeless people at 2:30 am.
I found this old bucket while wondering around Old Town here in San Diego. I love just how simple this shot is. Yet there is also so much to take away from it. The weathered texture of the bucket makes it so you can almost feel the cold metal.
My first attempt at making a bucket, I used a Sweetwater pattern.
Fabric is canvas and red ticking.
I think I might try fabric handles next time rather than cotton rope.
No task is too small for these blue shirted heroes. Volunteers spend their morning hauling buckets of water to the home site by setting up an assembly line and transporting these buckets by four wheelers. A group of 15 volunteers had to step on and tug on buckets to separate them and fill them from a barrel of water located in the spectator area.
