This is for the people that think subtlety is not enough, they need to see a CSI crime scene with blood trails and guts. To me it's a cheap device and belongs in my Halloween set. I make no claim to realism in this photo.

The NJ State Library, the NJ Sports & Exhibition Authority and the Harlem Globetrotters sponsored a contest for a school student to become a Goodwill Ambassador with the Harlem Globetrotters. All they had to do in 85 words or less was describe where they would like to bring one of the World Famous Harlem Globetrotters to spread goodwill in New Jersey.

For the winner, a Harlem Globetrotters player would bring their renowned “C.H.E.E.R. for Character” program to their school and bring the winning student's “vision” to life by executing the goodwill mission laid out in his or her submission.

McKenna Pope of Bloomfield Elementary was the winner. After visiting her school, she, Bucket & Scooter went to visit the children in Hackensack University Medical Center.

The bucket (dipper) on Big Brutus held 90 cubic yards of overburden which was 135 to 150 tons of material or enough to fill 3 railroad cars. Big Brutus did not dig any coal. It only removed the overburden.

They are pulling water out of the quarry and dumping it on the fire. Sometimes when the bucket goes by we get rain like spray in the yard. As you can see, the fire is only about 300 meters from our property

There's a hurricane in the neighborhood, but there's a silver lining.

This was at the Historical Village in Pella, Iowa.

I took Sophia and Olivia as well as my parents to Pella a week prior to Tulip Time (the big annual festival). This was an extension of the unit study that the girls did about the Netherlands (geography, culture, and food), bulb gardening, and tulips.

After the pump house, my brother and I went for a hike. After going up some steep hills, we arrived at a tall structure hidden in trees. To our amazement, there was a metal silo on the INSIDE of the building. I guess the debate of the day was similar to "What came first: the chicken or the egg?" My assumption is that the silo was build first, and later the outer structure added. Nevertheless, I spotted this rusty paint bucket on a collapsed shelf. During my processing, I added a slight vintage filter via Photo Tools free 2.5 to give it that oldened look.

while a complete rust bucket, taxed until April 08 and fully insuranced. Parked near a slip way for boats, probably does more pulling of boats than ploughs these days!!
