Syphoning into the bottling bucket.
My plan is to syphon all the apfelwein into there, bottle the straight half, then add the priming sugar and bottle the carbonated half. The snag with this plan is that I need to stir the priming sugar solution into an existing bucket of apfelwein - usually I'd put the priming sugar in first and then add the liquid but I can't do that for a split batch.
This ice bucket is almost forty years old. It was designed in 1973 by Martin Roberts for Conran’s Input line and is in Moma’s permanent collection.

That thin grey line is the top of a metal bucket I placed outside last night. It was totally buried by 9 am this morning; I cleared away a little so some of it would be visible.
