Brooklyn is a borough of New York City, coextensive with Kings County, in the U.S. state of New York. Kings County is the most populous county in the State of New York, and the second-most-densely-populated county in the United States, behind New York County (Manhattan). Brooklyn is also New York City's most populous borough, with 2,736,074 residents in 2020. If Brooklyn were an independent city, it would be the third most populous in the U.S. after the rest of New York City and Los Angeles, and ahead of Chicago.

Walking over the Brooklyn Bridge early morning was a total contrast to walking over it later on in the day - so nice and peaceful early morning with mostly runners for company, by the afternoon it was pandemonium!

Seen from the living room of my son and belle-fille's Brooklyn home on the tenth floor up.....a different view with this 50mm lens than what the eye really sees, or is it the mind?? I focused on the Empire State Building and in reality, the skyline is what is dominant, not the areas of Brooklyn you see here.....

The Brooklyn Bridge is a hybrid cable-stayed/suspension bridge in New York City, spanning the East River between Manhattan Island and Brooklyn on Long Island. Opened on May 24, 1883, the Brooklyn Bridge was the first fixed crossing of the East River. It was also the longest suspension bridge in the world at the time of its opening, with a main span of 486.3 m and a deck 38.7 m above mean high water. - scanned slide, Minolta X700
