The building is from the 1600s, or possibly the end of the 1500s.
It is named after Vass Brita Ersdotter, who moved to Falun in the 1880s to become a mining worker's wife.

When I decided to set up the flower shop for Brita, I didn't know that miniature flowers were so expensive and so difficult to make.
Result? The layout of the shop grows very slowly. -__-
But yesterday I thought: what if I use real flowers? Small dried or fresh flowers taken in the garden?
So here are some new flowers. I like the final effect.
These flowers are not eternal, but I am drawn to the idea of changing them every time I want to take a new photo!
I needed the right motivation to start shooting again, so I started with my first diorama.
Brita is always a winning choice, I feel at home playing with her!

For once a vintage photo from my own family. This is my grandfather, his first wife and their son Jan, my father's half-brother. I have no exact date, but it is probably taken around 1927-8.
My grandfather was Fredrik Otto Bugge, born in April 16 1895 in Bergen, Norway, and his wife at the time was Anna Brita Dymling, born in 1900 in Härnösand, Sweden. Jan (full name Jan Otto Richard) was born February 23 1923. They would later also have a daughter. Sometime in the 1930s they divorced (and my grandfather would marry my grandmother in 1940). My grandfather died in 1959, in Stockholm, where he was then living with his wife and son (my dad, then 11 years old). Anna Brita died in 1986.
Jan was still in school when the second world war had started, but when he was home for the holidays (he went to boarding school) he left home to join. He started as an interpreter for the British forces in Norway, and later joined the Norwegian air-force in England in 1941. He was first with the 331 squadron on the Orkney Islands, and later he went to the 332 squadron. He was sent to Canada for training to become a radio navigator and then went to the 85 squadron. He was killed in an accident while training on February 9 1944. He was awarded 3 medals for his services.
Some flowers and a pizza in my shopping cart
That was the title of an article on the English journal 'The Economist' yesterday about the political instability of Great Britain.
On October 20th Liz Truss resigned as leader of Britain's Conservative Party and Prime minister.
The cover of the journal used stereotypes ( very old and stupid ) about Italy, defined the Country of pizza and spaghetti, to indicate the decline of the English Government.
This is very offensive
Il titolo dell'Economist ( con il disegno sulla copertina di un centurione romano armato di forchetta e spaghetti e con una pizza sull'armatura) per indicare tutti i pasticci che stanno succedendo in Gran Bretagna.
Noi evidentemente siamo visti come buffoni, in modo offensivo e arrogante.
Direi che non abbiamo nulla da invidiare, almeno in questo momento
ps : è l'unica foto, che ho conservato per caso, che avevo a disposizione stasera sull'argomento
I needed the right motivation to start shooting again, so I started with my first diorama.

St. Brita's chapel and the stone cross on Kapelludden, Öland, Sweden are really from a bygone era, namely the 13th century. The stone cross was broken during the storm Per 2007 but was restored the same year and came back in October.
This is my contribution to this week's theme Time.

Brita gave me the fun assignment of photographing adorable Glói this summer - her 11 years old Icelandic horse (red by colour).
I had to get some photos of the two of them as well. I will show more photos of Glói by himself later on.

And so I also try to join this beautiful group! This morning I had a half hour free and I took the opportunity immediately to take a picture.
Brita, my young Swedish florist, gave the face and lent the location for this shot. So ... let's go green!

Echo and Brita ready to go on a short trip.
Taken in front of our house to the amusement of my neighbors. :D
My foldable dioramas are really a lot of fun to make and perfect for taking pictures, but I was sick of only taking indoor pictures. So I decided to paint and decorate the outer sides of the box as well, in order to create some outdoor settings too!
Here I tried to paint 2 buildings with the colors of traditional Swedish houses (not the classic dark red house, because I don't think it's suitable for a town house), and Brita posed for some new photos!
In Stockholm it is already very cold, soon it will be Christmas. The workers have finally finished the renovation of the small shop and brita can begin to set up.
She has mounted the shelves, the counter and brought an old white cabinet that belonged to her grandmother. He also put a few nails to hang some pictures.
The floral prints between the shelves serve to adorn the shop, but are also for sale. The posters near the door, instead, are Brita's favorites and will remain there ...
There are so many things to fix, and Brita also has to prepare Christmas decorations and wreaths, but Brita is really happy: her dream of opening a small flower shop is coming true! Not bad for a 19-year-old girl ...
