With all of the nightscaping that I have been doing lately, my stream is looking a little dark, so I have decided to start posting some of my favorite day shots to help brighten it up.

Here's an early evening photo taken in the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs Colorado. As I was waiting for the sun to go down, I watched the shadows stretch across the park and sunlight started to illuminate the top of the Tower of Babel formation and thought I would snap a few. :)

Thanks for taking the time to take a look at my photos, and as always, your views, comments, faves, and support are greatly appreciated!! Have a great week ahead my friends!! :)

If you have any questions about this photo or about photography in general, I will do my best to help, just post a comment or send me a Flickr mail and I will respond as quickly as possible.

At least seeing puffins brightened up what was a wet and dank summers day on Lunga.

A hot sunny day walking out on the beach, you stop to look out over the water from the cliff you are on and realize that the beauty of the scenery outweighs the heat of the sun. It is a hot day but to be free, happy, and uncaring of the thoughts or feelings of others is a wonderful thing. Freedom to be who you want to be at all times gives a grand serenity to all life.

To brighten up another grey day…….so I folded this origami modular, called 'Sudden Flame' by Aldo Marcell and I hope it will not start burning as it is paper, just joking ;-))

On the right you see just one module and on the left the finished version, made of 12 modules. I used double-colored kami-paper, size 7,5x15cm. Final size: diameter 10cm.

Model: origami Sudden Flame

Yellow is the brightest color of the visible spectrum, and it is the most noticeable of all colors by the human eye. It means happiness and optimism; it is the color of sun shining, or bright light and creativity. It is the color of high energy, enthusiasm, hope, fun, and cheerfulness.

Hoping everyone can stay in a hopeful and cheerful state of mind during these times.

This is the antithesis of the weather outside my window this morning, which is wet, grey and gloomy. Plus the fact we all need cheering in this current climate, and I don't just mean the weather!

Like most of my artworks, I never quite know what I'm going to create until I open Photoshop and look in my photos folders. I took some photos at a garden centre recently and this is based on one of them.

“Look at its shape—with vibrant yellows and oranges, a sunflower can brighten your day. It’s as if it is smiling like a happy face painted on the sun. So, if you do only one thing all day, let it be to smile, so you can brighten the day of others around you, just like the sunflower.”

Nice way to brighten your day is to take a stroll around the yard and appreciate the new season. Rich and colorful are the flowers here. Seasons change and so do flowers in gardens here. Much care was taken when the previous owner planted vegetation to bloom from early Spring right through the Fall. Much of my time these days is spent outdoors laboring in one of the gardens or on the lawn tractor, lol. I guess I was somewhat aware of the work involved. Trying to make the best of it because the property is really beautiful. Thanks for viewing my work. Stay safe and be happy and kind.🙏

Tha gray weather conditions are brightened up by the colours of the buildings of the city.

For years I've tried, unsuccessfully, to grow flowers from seeds. With the addition of a very small greenhouse, I found myself collecting all sorts of seed packets. This beauty was captured on the second day of its big reveal....and I find myself enjoying all the small insects that find it appealing, too.

the song here

I never felt magic crazy as this

I never saw moons knew the meaning of the sea

I never held emotion in the palm of my hand

Or felt sweet breezes in the top of a tree

But now you're here

Brighten my northern sky

always appreciated faves invites and comments thanks

Something bright and cheerful as an antidote to the bad November weather! :-)

Just thought I'd upload a brightly coloured picture to brighten things up on this very wet and windy day, to have a wee colourful summer picture of a little yellow flower on a bush in my garden. Spring seems to far off now so at least have this to remind us of what is to come...

A beautiful bird that really brightens up a day but they are miserable sods with their own kind ! Caught this one having a break from fighting .
