I wanted to build a spider mech for the #9brickmech challenge hosted by #bricksandbeer, and started building a week ago. I thought it would be a cool idea to spread it out over a large area while still keeping it under the 9 bricks limit. I've wanted to build the "Tick" mech by Theo Stylianides for a long time, and this seemed like a good opportunity.

Channeled one of my favorite Mech builds of all time by Adrian Florea. Love the concept of a mech like this.
I built this as an exhibition build for the #9brickmech contest on #bricksandbeer. I’m judging the contest and will be awarding this mech as a prize to my favorite build.
I'm not 100% happy with this, but that is due to size constraints. It does stand on its own with no supports, other than the "feet"

My first submission to the Bricks & Beer 9-Brick Mech competition. This mech is under 9 bricks tall when powered down and in storage mode. However, it can stand up taller once powered up and on the march. Alternating imperial construction colors in the full background show that the mech is right at the 9 brick limit. As suggested, mech is scaled to fit the Imperial Pilot microfig. I wanted this mech to be very bulky and in Star Wars fashion, I am hoping the legs are the minimum size possible to maintain stability.
