"Boxing Day is a holiday celebrated the day after Christmas day, thus being the second day of Christmastide and was traditionally a day off for servants, and when they received a special Christmas box from their masters. The servants would also go home on Boxing Day to give Christmas boxes to their families."
These mini 'ice crystal mountains' were dotted around the birch woodland I was walking in today. This one was on a twig on the woodland floor, it was about half an inch high. They are so fragile, that, if you touch them with the tip of your finger, they disintegrate, like candyfloss does, when you put the tip of your tongue on it!
