Macro Mondays: Bottle(s)

Thanks for all the comments and fave's, I appreciate it very much!

Bottles and Tins old items in a window display, unusual tins for tobacco and bottles for various uses, found in North Carolina.

It's my birthday at the weekend & I'm celebrating with a 15% off sale in the Etsy shop etsy.me/2NnZHeW.

Image edited with two textures, one from each of the collections that are included in the weekend sale.

Thank you, my dear friends, for all your comments and faves!

And happy Friday!

a group of tiny assorted bottles. For 'Looking Close on Friday'.

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !

Today is a red day at Color my world Daily and the theme at Macro Mondays is bottles. Which is awesome, since we all know by now, how much I love bottles and their contents… especially if it is gin. Today, however, I have a miniature bottle of Absolut Vodka next to a real glass bottle (just in case if the miniature bottles aren’t allowed…) whispering secrets to each other. And that is what I will call this picture: bottles complicity.

Today is my last day of work and then I will be off until the next year. I love the sound of that !! Isn’t that awesome ? I suggest we open a bottle to celebrate the beginning of my holidays ;-). Unfortunately, everybody else in my family is either at work or at school or in Cuba (drinking rum and sunbathing like there is no tomorrow !!). So the only thing left for me will be to get some of that Christmas spirit and prepare Christmas celebrations while I babysit my parents house until they come back from Cuba. But first, I will have to work until 5pm today !

Until then, see you later ! And have beautiful day my friends ! Mucho, mucho amor for you all !!

FYI: my tiny bottle is about 2cm high.

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!!

Macro Mondays: Bottle(s)

I think most of you know of my forays into the neighbors' yards to shoot their flowers. Well, today I wanted dandelion seedheads, so, with bucket in hand, I walked for several blocks, and picked off the seedheads off the dandelions from peoples' yards. I'm sure they would be happy about that, right?

Then you can imagine how long it took me to stuff them into six bottles. All for a shot :)

... for the avoidance of doubt, this ink bottle measures just 2 inches in height

at least it wasn't on ground

I have not done a macro Mondays for so long. I'm going to join in the fun again. This is a baby oil bottle with the cap tilted and nearly off

The color of this small bottle reminds me of the antiseptic Mercurochrome popular for small cuts and skin infections a generation ago. Stings like the crazy when applied and stains the skin around the wound approximately this color.

Macro Mondays: Glass

This is a bottle bag made of cardboard and rope with rustic buttons. The bag came into the house with a double helping of wine :)

Close up capture of a flower in a bottle

I decided to capture the bottle of the perfume that my wife loves more. I focused on the glass (top left), where some details are made more visible by using a led torch. I hope that you will like the result, my friends! ;-)

P.S. After taking the shot, I noticed that, within the theme description, it is stated "no labels". The label is present in this pic but it is out of focus... in any case, if this

is not acceptable to the admins, it is ok for me to remove this image from the group.

What a wonderful way to be awakened, by light! The pinkish/orangish hues drifting into my room lingered on my wall. It jolted me out of bed and pulled me out into the frigid air to witness the beautiful sky right before the sunrise. In this image the sky was already starting to fade, losing the bold pink that it held just seconds prior. I wanted to capture the feeling/color/mood/peace because I knew it wouldn't last but only in my mind and a photo.
