A glimpse of Bordeaux from the Garonne River. On the right side of the photo, you can see the famous Cité du Vin, a wine museum. “Whether you’re arriving by boat, car or tramway from the Bordeaux train station, you’ll gape at the bold landmark on the banks of the Garonne. Designed by Paris-based XTU Architects to resemble “the swirl in a wine glass,” the shimmering aluminum-clad structure also recalls the currents of the river that’s been the lifeblood of Bordeaux for millennia.”
Located across from Place de la Bourse, this water mirror has been designed by landscape artist Michel Corajoud. It alternates a mirror effect and artificial misting in an extraordinary way. The rhythmic changes in 2 cm of water on a gigantic slab of granite is spectacular, especially at dawn.

La Flèche Saint-Michel avec ses 114 mètres de hauteur, est le deuxième clocher le plus élevé de France. Classé au patrimoine mondial de l'Unesco, comme pour la Cathédrale Saint-André il a la particularité d'être séparé de l'édifice principal de la Basilique du même nom.
La grosse cloche de Bordeaux est le beffroi de l'ancien hôtel de ville. La porte et les tours, dites de la Grosse Cloche, sont classées au titre des monuments historiques par arrêté du 12 juillet 1886.
