Der Regent’s Canal ist ein 14 km langer Kanal im Norden von Londons Zentrum. Er verbindet den Paddington Arm des Grand-Union-Kanals im Westen mit dem Limehouse Becken sowie der Themse im Osten von London.

The Regent’s Canal is one of London’s best-kept secrets - a peaceful haven often hidden by the surrounding buildings. Today it is well-loved by boaters, walkers and cyclists all looking to escape the capital’s busy streets, but this gem of a canal was all too nearly converted into a railway.
Journey along the canal by narrowboat. Jason's Trip and the London Waterbus go from Little Venice to Camden Lock Market, with all the traditional colour and character you could hope for. A one-way trip takes between 45-55 minutes

Die Ponta da Piedade Bootstour ist die TOP-Sehenswürdigkeit an der Algarve-Küste. Hierbei handelt es sich um eine Felsklippenlandschaft die ein beeindruckendes Panorama vom Land und Wasser aus bietet.
Wir hatten uns vorher kaum Gedanken gemacht was man so in den 30 Minuten alles sehen kann. Umso überraschter waren wir wo es auf einmal losging. Es ging direkt in die verschiedenen kleinen Höhlen der Felswände an der Klippe. Von oben fiel die Sonne durch Löcher was mehr als beeindruckend war. Ich hatte allerdings mein Auge fast nur an der Kamera weil jeder Meter mit dem Boot ein neues tolles Motiv lieferte.

Ein Blick in die historische Werft, wo nach traditionellen Methoden Boote restauriert und gebaut werden, die zum Teil auch zum Verkauf angeboten werden,. Dort arbeiten Jugendliche aus vielen verschiedenen Ländern.
A look into the historic shipyard, where boats are restored and built according to traditional methods, some of which are also offered for sale. Young people from many different countries work there.

Bootstour auf dem Raša-Kanal am Leuchtfeuer des kleinen Hafens Sveti Mikula unter der Burgruine Stari Rakalj. Hier gibt es übrigens ein exzellentes Fischrestaurant...
Von einer Bootstour konnte ich die Skyline in all ihrer Schönheit fotografieren. Zu sehen ist u.a. The Edge mit seiner dreieckigen Aussichtsplattform mit Glasboden in ca. 335 Metern Höhe. Sie ist damit die höchste Aussichtsplattform der westlichen Hemisphäre.

From a boat tour I could photograph the skyline in all its beauty. Among other buildings, you can see The Edge with its triangular viewing platform with glass floor at a height of about 335 meters. It is the highest observation deck in the Western Hemisphere.

Dôle, Armenkrankenhaus, erbaut im 16.Jahrhundert. Heute beherbergt es die Stadtbibliothek und Museum.
Herrlich, wie nach einer kleinen Bootstour am Abend, die Sonne alles in warme Farben hüllt.
