finally did this... the effect was actually better than expected... bass is a little deeper sounding, or rather the 'hollowness' is reduced somewhat... perhaps more significantly and totally unexpectedly, the road noise is also reduced. Had not expected that my boot actually was allowing in quite a lot of road noise...

These were strewn on our Kitchen floor yersterday "left by Daughter", they looked like they would make a descent photo "to me anyway"
