This is my piece for day 2 of the Creative Boot Camp. The theme was picnic and I was stumped for a long time. Finally I stopped thinking about making a picture of a picnic and just started thinking of the objects. When I thought of the basket, I remembered the weave and how much I love the texture, so I decided to use that as the base of my image. I cut up some scrapbooking paper and weaved it. I added leafs, die cut flowers and and a hand-carved stamp of a dragonfly. I'm very happy with how it came together.

Boot seems to have taken a liking to my cushion finished in RT seating moquette. Every chance he gets, he sneaks up onto the chair!
This boot was Knuckles' favourite bed for quite a while. The other kittens would try to fit in there with her. It reminded me of "The Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe!"

Our combined haul today at the Whitegate boot. Hazel also got a long handled hoe for the garden and some ferns. The alluminum box at the top is a strange mouse trap.
OLD JACKSON ELITE BOOTS: I used a mirror and then attempted to shine as much light and flash into the toe of the boot to get a clear picture. If you roll your mouse over the photo I will show where the problem is. Also you can enlarge these pictures online by clicking on ALL SIZES above the photo.
29 Operation Homefront military families received a special surprise this week from the Boot Campaign's Santa Boots program. Volunteer "elves" picked, wrapped, packed and delivered packages filled with goodies for the entire family, all across the US. The Boot Campaign strives to make the holiday season brighter for Americas veterans, active duty personnel and military families this year, and by partnering with Operation Homefront, they can find exactly where that need can be filled.
I painted this boot for a grand vision I had, but No-o-o-o-o, it just wasn't in the cards. Maybe it'll get there eventually.
