The resort hotel we stayed in is a "dog friendly, pets welcome" kind of establishment. Which is why I said that the dog in the photo is lucky. (Of course, having a pretty owner makes it even more lucky, don't you think?) :)

After alighting from a ferry boat, a tourist heads for the hotel lobby to check out. Or maybe to book a spa session. Who knows what these tourists really want to do? ;)

"Sure," I replied, "but give me your email address so I can send you a copy."
"It's OK, I don't have to see it," he said. (and he didn't even "chimp" my camera LCD).
From way back to the days when I was shooting film, it has always amused me to hear/see people ask "Shoot me! Take a picture, please" knowing they will not see the end results. I've always wondered why. :)

One of four GP49H-3's on Tri-Rail's active locomotive roster shoves a northbound train out of Boca Raton, FL. While there are no definite plans on retiring these old pups, only time will tell how much longer they'll remain in active service.

Tri-Rail 811 shoves north toward Boca Raton station which is in view a short distance ahead. The train is passing one of the many road construction zones on I-95 between West Palm Beach and Miami. If ever there was an incentive to "take the train"...

A TriRail southbound has just departed Boca Raton station where it met a northbound. Judging by the amount of people on the platform, business was good on this particular morning.

Of course they think they're "safe from prying eyes," not knowing there's a snooping 600mm lens lurking somewhere.
(*cue in Hitchcock'ish dramatic cinema score*) :P

I spent every morning of my recent vacation attempting to capture the sunrise on the coast of southern Florida. Joining me every morning, this fisherman who told me he frequented this spot everyday for the last 30 years.
I didn't quite get the sunrise I was hoping for, so my parting words to him was that I'll see you next year.
