These are images I used in my blog post in November 2008. As I've not given up my domain, I decided to replace by loading from Flickr.
These trees were planted by my mother-in-law. One tree for each of her children. I was trying to locate the house of my in-laws in Google Maps the other day and these five trees made me sure that I was looking at the right place.
During the intial 7 years of blogging I kept my photos on my server. Now, for archival purposes, I will be moving these to Flickr. The title indicates the date in mmddyy format, This batch was from September 2004. dennissylvesterhurd.blogspot.ca/2004_09_01_archive.html

I was at my father-in-law's garden, just enjoying the breeze, when I saw this butterfly busily gathering nectar. I took slow steps to get near, paused for a moment, took a few shots, and then, the butterfly landed in front of me and took a sip. What a treat! :)
Patience, indeed, has its rewards :)
