Red-rumped swallow feeding their young - The moment of feeding takes place in seconds. As you will notice in the camera details, the speed is 1/ 4000 - They are incredibly fast acrobats. - The family has to catch insects and feed them until migration day. It seems like an endless loop when viewed. So that they can grow and become strong for a return to Africa. We understand that this chick flew out of the nest 2 - 3 weeks ago. The wings and feathers are even well developed. It is incredibly enjoyable to follow and witnessing their incredible energy. Juvenile Red-rumped swallow , they are under close family protection. This year seem to they have left their nests a little early. Global warming is certain to have negative effects in every corner of the world. This morning when I hear the sound of Juvenile Red-rumped swallow, caught this moment on the fig tree.

Red-rumped swallow juvenile is duller with browner upperparts, paler rufous areas and more indistinct streaking. The tail is shorter and the wing feathers are tipped buff.

Red-rumped swallow - They lack a breast band, but have black undertails. They are fast fliers and they swoop on insects while airborne. They have broad but pointed wings. Red-rumped swallows build quarter-sphere nests with a tunnel entrance lined with mud collected in their beaks, and lay 3 to 6 eggs.

Biometrics:

Length: 16-17 cm

Weight: 19-29 g

The Red-rumped Swallow adult is very similar to the Barn Swallow with orange-rufous neck sides and rump. The buffy underparts show long, dark streaks. The underwing-coverts are creamy-buff, while the undertail-coverts are black.

On the upperparts, crown and back are glossy deep blue. They are separated by partial chestnut collar. The rump is chestnut to orange-rufous, finely streaked black. Upperwing and uppertail are blackish and slightly glossy. The outer rectrices are elongated, up to 3,5 cm.

The blackish bill is short and flat with wide gape. The eyes are dark brown. The short legs and the small, weak feet are blackish.

The female has similar plumage but she has shorter tail than male.

Both adults build the nest and collect mud as a pellet in the bill, usually close to the nest site. The flask-shaped nest has a tubular entrance. It is placed on rocky ledges, buildings, under bridges and caves. It is cemented to the horizontal surface from below. There is a lining of soft grass and feathers inside the nest. They need 5/15 days to build this peculiar structure placed between 5 and 20 metres above the ground.

The Red-rumped Swallow has very wide range. It is common throughout it, although being uncommon to locally common in W Africa, and rather local in E Africa.

The population size is unknown but the trend was stable between 1980 and 2011.

The Red-rumped Swallow is currently evaluated as Least Concern.

Most Purple Sandpipers don't move very far in winter. In fact, the Icelandic and West Greenland populations are apparently wholly resident. Breeding populations vary in bill length and wing length, and biometrics can give a good idea where any individual is from. The small, short-billed birds from Norway winter mainly on the east coast between Aberdeen and Yorkshire. But generally, birds wintering in the rest of Britain tend to be longer-billed with longer wings. It has never been proved by ringing but these birds, comprising about 75% of the British population, appear to be from Arctic Canada (eg Baffin Island). They are too long-winged for the resident Icelandic birds, though their bill lengths are similar. I should have said that females are larger and longer-billed than males, which complicates matters as male Canadian birds have bill lengths similar to female Norwegian birds. Statistically this bird from Northumberland is likely to be from Norway as up to 75% of east coast birds are from there, but we still haven't a clue where the tiny population of Scottish breeders spend the winter.

Went to the reserve to see the White Crowed Sparrow today but it did not show. Nice to see this reserve which is not open to the public, only permit holders!

1. Who are the Woolston Eyes Conservation Group?

The WECG

Woolston Eyes Conservation Group, a voluntary organisation formed in 1979, manages the rich and varied wildlife of the deposit grounds with the agreement of the Manchester Ship Canal Company. Its aim is to promote the study and conservation of the wildlife and habitat of the area with particular regard to the ornithology.

The group undertakes management work to preserve or maximise the ornithological value of the Reserve, provides and maintains hides for the use of the public and permit holders, keeps the paths open and discourages disturbance. The group produces an Annual Report which summarises the work carried out and the results obtained including the scientific study of the flora and fauna of the Reserve.

To carry out this work the group raises funds by the sale of Permits, Annual Reports and by applying for grants from various organisations. The Reserve is open from dawn to dusk throughout the year. No.3 bed access requires a permit and key for the vehicle barriers and gated footbridge entrance - see homepage for permit application details.

The group is a registered charity and our charity registration number is 700362.

Frank Linley, who died in October 2002, was a long-standing member of our committee who made highly significant contributions to the Conservation Group. He played a prominent role in the presentation of Annual Reports and Newsletters, established a database of members and initiated our first website. The new Tower Hide has been dedicated to his memory.

WECG has had the privilege of the support of two nationally respected figures as our patrons. The eminent ornithologist, Chris Mead, who died in January 2003 was for many years Patron of WECG and had visited the site from time to time.

More recently the well known Naturalist and Wildlife Broadcaster Chris Packham has become our patron. Chris is best known as the presenter of the BBC programmes Springwatch and Autumnwatch. He first visited the reserve in 2006 as presenter of the BBC wildlife series Natures Calendar, filming a section for the Spring Wetlands feature.

Chris very kindly gave up his time on a chilly February evening in 2010 to entertain a packed house at Warrington’s Parr Hall with a talk and slideshow of his experiences as a naturalist and photographer in support of the group.

We must also recognise and thank Colin Woolf a leading UK wildlife artist who has generously contributed his wonderful artwork for the covers of our annual reports for a number of years. Access and Permits for Woolston Eyes

A public footpath runs from the end of Weir Lane, along the west side of No.2 bed and the north side of the canal to Thelwall Lane. Access to other parts of the Reserve is strictly limited to permit holders between the hours noted on the entrance gate throughout the year. A permit entitles the holder to visit the Eyes on any number of occasions during the year and to make use of the several hides. Please use the form below when making an application. Maps of the Reserve and the principle site No.3 bed can be viewed or downloaded from the FAQ section on the top menu bar.

Permit Pricing 2016

After managing to keep our permit prices down for the past 8 years, we have reluctantly concluded that, for this coming year, we will need to raise the prices to £15-00 for a single permit and £25-00 for a family permit

The additional funds will enable us to retain the full-time services of our Estate Worker, John Langley. Buying in John’s services from the RSPB has enabled us to tackle many of our outstanding habitat management tasks, to the benefit of both wildlife and visitors. I hope you will feel able to continue supporting us in the future.

The WECG wish to stress to Permit Holders that current winter access hours are 08:00 hours to 16:00 hours with gates to the Reserve and entrance track secured between these times with locks which permit holders do not have keys. The opening and closing times will vary through the year as daylight hours change so please check out the times listed on our homepage and on the entrance gate to No3 bed which will be updated accordingly. We also wish to stress the importance of locking all appropriate gates when entering or leaving the Reserve. The “disappearance” of locks from various sites could lead to insurmountable problems.

Group Visits

Woolston Eyes has become a very popular venue for visits by bird watching groups, and in order to cope efficiently with the demand a ‘Group Visit’ procedure has been established. This should enable us to avoid the situation, which has arisen in the past, where several parties arrive on the same day, causing disturbance to the Reserve and congestion and irritation in the hides.

If you wish to book an outing for your group, or bring a party of your bird watching friends to Woolston please check out the latest group visit schedule listed in the scrolling news section of the hompage then write for a booking form to:

Mrs Rosalind Martin, 45 Albert Road, Grappenhall, Warrington, Cheshire,WA4 2 PF, enclosing an SAE. It is important that at least six weeks notice is given of an intended visit.

A booking fee of £20 is normally charged for groups of up to 10 people. For groups of larger than 10 visitors, there is an additional charge of £2 for each visitor above and beyond the “10”. A warden would be available to lead the visitors if so wished (if not, a key must be obtained beforehand in order to gain access to No 3 bed).

History of the Woolston Eyes Area

Not much is known about the area known as the Eyes before the Middle Ages, but we know people were in the area during the Bronze Age, and that the Anglo-Saxons reached the region around 700 AD. In fact the word ‘Ees’ is Saxon for land near a looping watercourse, so the Germanic settlers must have arrived on the banks of the Mersey about this time. Records begin around 500 years later.

Land ownership in the township of Thelwall was fairly stable between 1300 and 1536. During medieval times a third was owned by the Clayton family and the rest by the priory of Norton. The priors owned the valuable fishing rights for the south side of the River Mersey, which if the catches of 1749 were anything to go by, (19 and 23 pound salmon landed in May of that year) were fairly substantial.

At the Dissolution of the Monasteries in 1536 all monastic land passed to the crown and all Norton Priory’s former possessions were subsequently sold to the Claytons who thus acquired the whole of Thelwall as a private estate. They sold out to the Brookes, who interestingly had purchased Norton priory itself in the 1530s, and may have been seeking to unite its former possessions. However, they in turn sold Thelwall to the Moores, and it changed hands again to the Pickering family, who probably had control of the land by the 1770s when a bridge over the newly built Bridgewater canal was named after them. Thelwall remained in private hands until the late l9th century, when the township was incorporated into Runcorn District Council.

During the winter months the Mersey flooded across the meadows of Thelwall ( the village itself situated on slightly higher ground ). In the summer it is likely that sheep were grazed on the fertile fields which were probably too wet for arable cultivation in a pre-land drain era. Regular references to the Claytons as being ‘of Shepecrofte’ may point to this.

At the time of the famous salmon hauls of the mid 18th century, certain transformations to the Ees meadows were underway, as the effects of the Industrial Revolution began to be felt. Powder mills with workers cottages were constructed where the north bank of No.2 bed currently stands. Woolston Old Cut was the first navigational improvement undertaken across the north bank of No.3 bed ( just north of where the new weir was recently dug), and had occurred by 1777, as testified to by a map of that date. The short canal, or New Cut, further shortened the journey down the river by cutting out the loop of what is now Nos 3 and 4 beds, and wharves were constructed at the southern end of Weir Lane, for boats and goods to transfer onto the canal. On the South bank of the Mersey stood Statham Chemical works. The powder mills were built in 1755, and lasted exactly a century before, ironically, being destroyed by an explosion.

The major change to the area was the construction of the Manchester Ship Canal in 1896, which radically altered the landscape, beyond simply the imposing presence of the new waterway itself. The long meanders of the Mersey through Statham were cut off and became redundant, as did the old canals to the north and the wharves. The old water meadows largely disappeared under the deposit grounds which were constructed from the 1920’s onwards. The various farmsteads which had managed a living on these lowlands ceased to exist with the arrival of the first dredgings, except for the Wilgreaves’ which continued as a working farm until No.3 bed was constructed upon the site in the late 1950’s .The old farming lifestyle which had existed up to then was swept away.

Habitat

The four beds at Woolston Deposit Grounds SSSI, are managed as a nature reserve by the Woolston Eyes Conservation Group in agreement with the Manchester Ship Canal Company. Parts of the site are still in use to accommodate dredging from the Manchester Ship Canal.

No.1 bed which is to the east of the motorway (the Thelwall Viaduct) consists primarily of rough grassland and willow scrub. Sand extraction has created a number of reedy pools which attract small numbers of Snipe and wild fowl. They are also a regular site for wintering Water Pipits.

No.2 bed is currently being used for pumping dredgings from the canal and is consequently attractive to large numbers of wildfowl. During late summer and early autumn, when water levels are at their lowest, muddy margins can appear which provide loafing areas for wildfowl, gulls and a few waders. Water Rails and the odd Spotted Crake are most easily visible at this time. Most of the water lies on the west side but during pumping the centre and east of the bed, which are predominantly willow scrub and Reed Canary Grass, can also become flooded.

No.3 bed lies to the north of a meander of the river. It has recently been made into an island by the diversion of the river along its north bank. This east side of the bed is shallowly flooded and contains extensive beds of typha and some phragmites. The western half of the bed is covered in dense vegetation, mainly grasses, nettles, thistle and willow scrub. An attempt is being made to introduce flower meadows into this area, to increase the habitat diversity, though it will be a year or two before the benefits are seen.

No.4 bed, to the west of the reserve, also lies between the river and the canal. The dredgings which were pumped onto the bed have now dried out and the silt is being excavated and sold as top dressing. The undisturbed areas of the bed are developing a dense cover of willow scrub, nettle and other rank vegetation.

All the beds are enclosed within steep embankments with rough grassland and scrub. In places taller poplars and willow grow alongside the river whose banks are covered in parts by hawthorn, elder, bramble. These banks are bird-rich at most times of year with late summer warbler flocks and early winter thrush flocks being particularly notable. The river and canal both seem to be benefiting from the slow improvement in water quality. In winter substantial flocks of diving duck, including Tufted Ducks, Pochards, Goldeneyes, Goosanders and the odd Scaup or Smew can reliably be found on the river where it encircles No.3 bed. The rubbish tips at both ends of the reserve have now closed and been capped, with both being attractive to winter feeding finches and pipits.

Bird Species

In all, two hundred and thirty two species have been recorded on the Reserve, including thirteen species of raptor, more than thirty species of wader, all five grebes, the three woodpeckers, and five species of owl. Click here for a full species list

Lying next to the Mersey, the flooded beds inevitably attract large numbers of dabbling ducks moving inland from the estuary. The Mersey Valley Pochard flock also spends time here, making this an excellent place to see winter wildfowl. Typically a thousand or more Teal are present, sometimes several times this figure, with several hundred Mallard and Pochard, a hundred or so Shoveller, Gadwall and Tufted Duck, and from a few dozen to several hundred Pintail. Ruddy Duck were also a regular feature. Other species of wildfowl occur less frequently or in smaller numbers, and scarce or rare species such as Ring-necked Duck, Feruginous and Long-tailed Duck, Green Winged Teal, Common Scoter and Smew have been noted. In late autumn and winter skeins of Pink-footed Geese can often be observed making hard weather movements to the east coast.

The water margins of No.3 bed are an excellent nesting habitat for Black-necked, Great Crested and Little Grebes plus Teal, Shoveller, Mallard, Pochard, Gadwall, Tufted and historically Ruddy Ducks. Pintail and Garganey are also suspected of breeding in some years. A similar range of species can also be found breeding on No.2 bed, dependant on water levels. A substantial Black-headed Gull colony dominates the water margins in No.3 bed and can spill over onto No.2 bed when conditions are right.

The Eyes is particularly important, in a county context, for its breeding populations of common warblers. Counts of singing males have totalled more than 200 singing Sedge Warblers, 150 Whitethroats, 100 Willow Warblers, 30 Blackcaps and a similar number of Reed Warblers, plus a dozen Grasshopper Warblers and small numbers of Chiffchaffs, Lesser Whitethroats and Garden Warblers.In the damper areas upto 100 Reed Bunting are present in summer.

Large aggregations of aerial feeders may be present from May to September, with many hundreds of Swifts joining the swirling flocks of hirundines feeding over the insect rich lagoons. In most years there is a sizeable Swallow roost, regularly up to 3,000 birds but sometimes reaching 10,000. Inevitably, a Hobby is often in attendance and provides some spectacular aerial performances. From October to early winter thousands of Redwing and other thrushes arrive to feed on the berry-rich hawthorns around the banks of the beds.

In winter roosts dwindle as food supplies diminish, although Magpies seldom seen to go hungry and over 200 continue to roost in the scrub. Finches, notably Linnets, Goldfinches and Chaffinches flock to feed on weed seeds on the drier parts of the muddy beds, with odd Siskins and Bramblings regularly located amongst them . A sprinkling of Chiffchaff remains in willow scrub during most winters and Firecrests have occasionally wintered alongside the more numerous Goldcrests.

Wader passage is much smaller than formerly due to changes in the pumping regime into the beds. Spring passage is typically light, although Common Sandpiper are seen regularly in late April and early May, and on one occasion stayed to breed. Little Ringed Plover appear annually and usually attempt to breed. The inland spread of Ringed Plover has resulted in this species also breeding. Autumn passage is much more reliable and although not as prolific as in the past, Snipe, Jack Snipe and Lapwing are reliably present, with the occasional Green Sandpiper, Dunlins, Greenshanks etc. for company.

As far as rare or scarce birds are concerned, Woolston remains a much under-watched site, offering much opportunity for the discovery of that ever-elusive rarity. Nevertheless, almost two decades of observation by a small number of enthusiasts, spread over Woolstons huge acreage, has produced some good birds, including: Storm and Leachs Petrels, Spoonbill, Bittern, Night and Purple Herons, Ring-necked and Ferruginous Ducks, Quail, Honey and Rough-legged Buzzards, Red Kite, Montagues Harrier, Temmincks Stint, White-rumped, Pectoral and Buff-breasted Sandpipers, Red-necked and Wilson`s Phalaropes, Avocet, Great and Arctic Skuas, Laughing, Mediterranean and Ring-billed Gulls, Whiskered and White-winged Black Terns, Bee-eater, Nightjar, Golden Oriole, Bluethroat, Great Grey Shrike, Marsh Warbler, Firecrest and Nutcracker.

Ringing

Over 110,000 birds have been ringed at Woolston since ringing first started here in 1980. A small team now operates on all four beds, usually from April to October each year, ringing around 4,000 birds per year. During more recent years, Woolston has taken part in an international ringing programme, aimed at studying those migratory species which winter in Africa. During the summer and early autumn large numbers of common warblers are ringed, with full biometrics taken, as part of that research programme. In the latter part of the year the focus is on tape-luring overflying finches and buntings. At any time there is the constant chance of the odd surprise, with Marsh Warbler, Bluethroat and Firecrest among the scarcer species ringed.

Ringing is a physically demanding and time consuming occupation but one which brings many rewards in terms of our knowledge of national and local bird populations. Your digital ID will have your photo, information, medical records, passport, digital CBDC wallet, and social credit score. Your digital ID will be carried on your person via your cell phone. Since cell phones can get lost or stolen, you will eventually need a biometric microchip ID. A microchip ID will never get lost or stolen. This sounds like the Book of Revelation, doesn’t it?

“All of the abnormal blood samples of injected persons, the 948 cases, showed tubular/fibrous formations and frequently also crystalline and lamellar formations with extremely complex but consistently similar morphologies across all of the patients with abnormal blood samples. Our results are so similar to those of Lee et al. (2022) that it could be claimed that, except for our innovative application of dark-field microscopy to mark the foreign metal-like objects in the blood of mRNA injections from Pfizer or Moderna, we have replicated the blood work of the Korean doctors with a much larger sample. Our findings, however, are bolstered by their parallel analysis of the fluids in vials of the mRNA concoctions alongside centrifuged plasma samples from the cases they studied intensively. What seems plain enough is that metallic particles resembling graphene oxide and possibly other metallic compounds, like those discovered by Gatti and Montanari (Montanari & Gatti, 2016; Gatti & Montanari, 2012, 2017, 2018), have been included in the cocktail of whatever the manufacturers have seen fit to put in the so-called mRNA “vaccines”. In our experience as clinicians, these mRNA injections are very unlike traditional “vaccines” and their manufacturers need, in our opinions, to come clean about what is in the injections and why it is there.”

This orange flower hidden under the dense growth of grass is known locally around my area as Iring-iring , it normally grows wild. This wild flowering shrub has variety of them which has blooms of different colours from orange, pink, deep red,yellow or mixed colours and has dark purple berries which is edible. When I was a kid , I sometimes pick their berries in the wild and ate them, as they are sweet. In the past decades I've noticed they are being cultivated as ornamental plants, have seen them planted in city parks many times .

This report warns that our society is heading towards friendly fascism. This form of fascism “will come under the slogans of democracy.” It will be a “techno-urban fascism,” a “friendly sort of totalitarianism.” This is what this friendly fascism will look like: they will use military surveillance technologies to aid the police; they will use behavior-changing drugs and indoctrination in schools; they will attempt to manage the news; they will use personality screening and maintain files on pre-delinquent children, via coordination with school administrations and local, state, and federal authorities; they will use interconnected computer systems to collect peoples personal data like: employment records, criminal records, tax status, credit, insurance, and information about education.

What is their solution to this friendly fascism? They want, instead, to introduce a friendly fascism that has a shiny spiritual veneer. They want man to “evolve” to a higher consciousness, a super consciousness, which lies at the boundary between the conscious and unconscious parts of the mind. This evolution of consciousness will be a personal, spiritual, social, and cultural evolution. They want people to tap into this consciousness through their dream states. They want them to evolve into a hivemind, where they can telepathically communicate with one another. This could possibly be achieved through mystical experiences, psychic phenomena, esoteric ideas, occult practices, hypnotism, self-hypnotism, meditation, yoga, psychotherapy, psychology, psychochemical drugs, electrocranial stimulation, and cybernetics. “I think that cybernetics is the biggest bite out of the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge that mankind has taken in the last 2000 years.”

This evolved man will see the inequality of the poorer nations. He will willingly give up his comfortable lifestyle. He will lower his living standards. He will share his wealth with the rest of the world. Men will collectively work together to accomplish equality (communism). And if they refuse to give up their wealth, they will be forced to give it up. This evolution is Gnostic in nature; it reminds me of Karl Marx, with his idea of man evolving into the socialist man/communist man. Out of this evolution will come a new system, a “new socialism,” which will be influenced by Freemasonry. “In ‘true Freemasonry’ there is one lodge, the universe-and one brotherhood, everything that exists. Each person has the ‘privilege of labor,’ of joining with the ‘Great Architect’ in building more noble structures and thus serving in the divine plan.”

The architects of this scheme must convince the masses that the earth has limited resources, which they term the “new scarcity.” They must convince the people that the earth is being overpopulated (today, climate change is the big scare they are pushing). With these supposed problems, man must be convinced that he needs to collectively band together. The architects of this scam must bring in a new economic and ecological system (known today as stakeholder capitalism and the green economy). To introduce this alternative way of life, they will introduce “behavior controls that would deprive the individual of freedoms” (which is known today as a social credit score system).

“A crisis is often the catalyst for the redrawing of one’s preferred map.” A “crisis-oriented transformation” is likely to transform a culture rapidly. We saw some of this during COVID, which greatly affected our society and economy. People accepted a soft form of authoritarianism and the loss of freedoms. During COVID, they pushed vaccine passports. This mimicked Digital IDs. The unvaccinated could not go to certain places, because they didn’t have vaccine passports. The Canadian truckers had their bank accounts frozen. Those with alternative views were censored. These things mimicked a social credit score system with rewards and punishments. Society failed to think critically, thus proving that it was ready for the next step of the plan. Therefore, politicians touted the start of the Great Reset—a plan to build back better. So now we are in a transition period, a transition into a new economic order. As a result, we are being steered towards a major economic crisis. This “crisis-oriented transformation” will bring us into their new system. This system will use digital biometric IDs, CBDCs, and social credit scores.

The elites see multinational corporations as the “most effective mechanisms for husbanding the earth’s resources and optimizing their use for human benefit.” Giving multinational corporations the earth’s resources will supposedly lead to an “equitable sharing of the earth’s resources.” They will pressure corporations to help with the social engineering of society. The methods they will use to get corporations on board resemble those of a corporate social credit score system like ESGs. They will prod corporations, particularly multinational corporations, to shift their goals to line up with those of the (hijacked) public institutions. Indeed, the public institutions will be tools of indoctrination (today, these institutions promote things like DEI). They plan to use “corporations, foundations, political agencies, and voluntary associations” to help with the implementation of their plans. Today, this is called public–private partnerships. They will use networks at the local, regional, national, and world levels. This way, it will be quicker and easier for them to implement their new world order goals. They expect rapid social change, economic decline, and social disruption as they implement their new technocratic socialist order.

“We would thus hope not for a handful, but for a thousand heroes, ten thousand heroes-who will create a future image of what humankind can be.” They need an army of social(ist) justice warriors to bring about change. “The needed transformation cannot occur without both personal and institutional change.” This correlates with the left’s “long march through the institutions.”

They also want to experiment with a variety of family structures. They want to turn the family into “an extended unit,” which will provide “a larger source of meaning and significance.” So basically, the collective (government, schools, neighbors, and society) will raise your children in this new collectivist utopia. This extended family will be a “source of education,” and “a unit for work.” They want to “foster a period of experimentation and tolerance for diverse alternatives, both in life styles and in social institutions.” They also want to use “new experimental curricula.” Today, we have new experimental curricula such as critical race theory and queer theory.

They want the world’s population to embrace this new order. Their end goal is the Brave New World. In reality, those who refuse this new order will live out 1984, and those who accept it will live out the Brave New World. Though, as they admit, no transition will go smoothly. Everyone is going to feel some pain, and in a worst-case scenario, a lot of pain.

The Bible warns us about the Antichrist. Those who refuse the Mark of the Beast won’t be able to buy or sell, and they will be tracked down by the authorities. These people will experience the hell of 1984. But those who take the Mark of the Beast will evolve into transhumans, and they will experience the bliss of the Brave New World. They will be on a high, stimulated by soma frequencies. Thus, they will blissfully worship the Beast. They will evolve to a super consciousness; they will become one with the Beast.

The single word ”border” conceals a multiplicity and implies a constancy where genealogical investigation uncovers mutation and descent. Historical research reveals that diverse political rationalities have framed the political means and objectives of state frontiers and borders, just as the difficult work of making borders actual has drawn upon a great variety of technologies and heterogeneous administrative practices, ranging from maps of the territory, the creation of specialized border officials, and architectures of fortification to today’s experimentation with bio- digitalized forms of surveillance. This chapter argues that we are witnessing a novel development within this history of borders and border-making, what I want to call the emergence of the humanitarian border. While a great deal has been written about the militarization, securitization and fortification of borders today, there is far less consideration of the humanitarianization of borders. But if the investment of border regimes by biometric technologies rightly warrants being treated as an event within the history of the making and remaking of borders (Amoore 2006), then arguably so too does the reinvention of the border as a space of humanitarian government.

Under what conditions are we seeing the rise of humanitarian borders? The emergence of the humanitarian border goes hand in hand with the move which has made state frontiers into privileged symbolic and regulatory instruments within strategies of migration control. It is part of a much wider trend that has been dubbed the ”rebordering” of political and territorial space (Andreas and Biersteker 2003). The humanitarian border emerges once it becomes established that border crossing has become, for thousands of migrants seeking, for a variety of reasons, to access the territories of the global North, a matter of life and death. It crystallizes as a way of governing this novel and disturbing situation,and compensating for the social violence embodied in the regime of migration control.The idea of a humanitarian border might sound at first counterintuitive or even oxymoronic. After all, we often think of contemporary humanitarianism as a force that, operating in the name of the universal but endangered subject of humanity, transcends the walled space of the inter-national system. This is, of course, quite valid. Yet it would be a mistake to draw any simple equation between humanitarian projects and what Deleuze and Guattari would call logics of deterritoralization. While humanitarian programmes might unsettle certain norms of statehood, it is important to recognize the ways in which the exercise of humanitarian power is connected to the actualization of new spaces. Whether by its redefinition of certain locales as humanitarian ”zones” and crises as ”emergencies” (Calhoun 2004), the authority it confers on certain experts to move rapidly across networks of aid and intervention, or its will to designate those populating these zones as ”victims,” it seems justified to follow Debrix’s (1998) observation that humanitarianism implies reterritorialization on top of deterritorialization. Humanitarian zones can materialize in various situations – in conflict zones, amidst the relief of famine, and against the backdrop of state failure. But the case that interests me in what follows is a specific one: a situation where the actual borders of states and gateways to the territory become themselves zones of humanitarian government. Understanding the consequences of this is paramount, since it has an important bearing on what is often termed the securitization of borders and citizenship.

Foucault and Frontiers

It is probably fair to say that the theme of frontiers is largely absent from the two courses that are today read together as Foucault’s lectures on ”governmentality” (Foucault 1991; 2007; 2008). This is not to suggest that frontiers receive no mention at all. Within these lectures we certainly encounter passing remarks on the theme. For instance, Foucault speaks at one point of ”the administrative state, born in the territoriality of national boundaries in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries and corresponding to a society of regulation and discipline” (Foucault 1991: 104).1 Elsewhere, he notes how the calculation and demarcation of new frontiers served as one of the practical elements of military-diplomatic technology, a machine he associates with the government of Europe in the image of a balance of power and according to the governmental logic of raison d’état. ”When the diplomats, the ambassadors who negotiated the treaty of Westphalia, received instructions from their government, they were explicitly advised to ensure that the new frontiers, the distribution of states, the new relationships to be established between the German states and the Empire, and the zones of influence of France, Sweden, and Austria be established in terms of a principle: to maintain a balance between the different European states” (Foucault 2007: 297).

But these are only hints of what significance the question of frontiers might have within the different technologies of power which Foucault sought to analyze. They are only fragmentary reflections on the place borders and frontiers might occupy within the genealogy of the modern state which Foucault outlines with his research into governmentality.2

Why was Foucault apparently not particularly interested in borders when he composed these lectures? One possible answer is suggested by Elden’s careful and important work on power-knowledge and territory. Elden takes issue with Foucault for the way in which he discusses territorial rule largely as a foil which allows him to provide a more fully-worked out account of governmentality and its administration of population. Despite the fact that the term appears prominently in the title of Foucault’s lectures, ”the issue of territory continually emerges only to be repeatedly marginalized, eclipsed, and underplayed” (Elden 2007: 1). Because Foucault fails to reckon more fully with the many ways in which the production of territory – and most crucially its demarcation by practices of frontier marking and control – serves as a precondition for the government of population, it is not surprising that the question of frontiers occupies little space in his narrative.But there is another explanation for the relative absence of questions of frontiers in Foucault’s writing on governmentality. And here we have to acknowledge that, framed as it is previously, this is a problematic question. For it risks the kind of retrospective fallacy which projects a set of very contemporary issues and concerns onto Foucault’s time. It is probably fair to speculate that frontiers and border security was not a political issue during the 1970s in the way that it is today in many western states. ”Borders” had yet to be constituted as a sort of meta-issue, capable of condensing a whole complex of political fears and concerns, including globalization, the loss of sovereignty, terrorism, trafficking and unchecked immigration. The question of the welfare state certainly was an issue, perhaps even a meta-issue, when Foucault was lecturing, and it is perhaps not coincidental that he should devote so much space to the examination of pastoralism. But not the border. The point is not to suggest that Foucault’s work evolved in close,

Humanitarian Government

Before I address the question of the humanitarian border, it is necessary to explain what I understand by the humanitarian. Here my thinking has been shaped by recent work that engages the humanitarian not as a set of ideas and ideologies, nor simply as the activity of certain nongovernmental actors and organizations, but as a complex domain possessing specific forms of governmental reason. Fassin’s work on this theme is particularly important. Fassin demonstrates that humanitarianism can be fruitfully connected to the broader field of government which Foucault outlined, where government is not a necessary attribute of states but a rationalized activity than can be carried out by all sorts of agents, in various contexts, and towards multiple ends. At its core, ”Humanitarian government can be defined as the administration of human collectivities in the name of a higher moral principle which sees the preservation of life and the alleviation of suffering as the highest value of action” (Fassin 2007: 151). As he goes on to stress, the value of such a definition is that we do not see a particular state, or a non-state form such as a nongovernmental organization, as the necessary agent of humanitarian action. Instead, it becomes possible to think in terms of a complex assemblage, comprising particular forms of humanitarian.reason, specific forms of authority (medical, legal, spiritual) but also certain technologies of government – such as mechanisms for raising funds and training volunteers, administering aid and shelter, documenting injustice, and publicizing abuse. Seen from this angle humanitarianism appears as a much more supple, protean thing. Crucially, it opens up our ability to perceive ”a broader political and moral logic at work both within and outside state forms” (ibid.).

If the humanitarian can be situated in relation to the analytics of government, it can also be contextualized in relation to the biopolitical. ”Not only did the last century see the emergence of regimes committed to the physical destruction of populations,” observes Redfield, ”but also of entities devoted to monitoring and assisting populations in maintaining their physical existence, even while protesting the necessity of such an action and the failure of anyone to do much more than this bare minimum” (2005: 329). It is this ”minimalist biopolitics,” as Redfield puts it, that will be so characteristic of the humanitarian. And here the accent should be placed on the adjective “minimalist” if we are not to commit the kind of move which I criticized above, namely collapsing everything new into existing Foucauldian categories. It is important to regard contemporary humanitarianism as a novel formation and a site of ambivalence and undecideability, and not just as one more instance of what Hardt and Negri (2000) might call global “biopolitical production.”The Birth of the Humanitarian Border

In a press release issued on June 29, 2007, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) publicized a visit which its then Director General, Brunson McKinley, was about to make to a ”reception centre for migrants” on the Mediterranean island of Lampedusa (IOM 2007). The Director General is quoted as saying: ”Many more boats will probably arrive on Lampedusa over the summer with their desperate human cargo and we have to ensure we can adequately respond to their immediate needs.... This is why IOM will continue to work closely with the Italian government, the Italian Red Cross, UNHCR and other partners to provide appropriate humanitarian responses to irregular migrants and asylum seekers reaching the island.”

The same press release observes that IOM’s work with its ”partners” was part of a wider effort to improve the administration of the ”reception” (the word ”detention” is conspicuously absent) and ”repatriation” of ”irregular migrants” in Italy. Reception centers were being expanded, and problems of overcrowding alleviated. The statement goes on to observe that IOM had opened its office on Lampedusa in April 2006. Since that time ”Forced returns from Lampedusa [had] stopped.”

Lampedusa is a small Italian island located some 200 km south of Sicily and 300 km to the north of Libya. Its geographical location provides a clue as to how it is that in 2004 this Italian outpost first entered the spotlight of European and even world public attention, becoming a potent signifier for anxieties about an international migration crisis (Andrijasevic 2006). For it was then that this Italian holiday destination became the main point of arrival for boats carrying migrants from Libya to Italy. That year more than 10,000 migrants are reported to have passed through the ”temporary stay and assistance centre” (CPTA) the Italian state maintains on the island. The vast majority had arrived in overcrowded, makeshift boats after a perilous sea journey lasting up to several weeks. Usually these boats

are intercepted in Italian waters by the Italian border guards and the migrants transferred to the holding center on the island. Following detention, which can last for more than a month, they are either transferred to other CPTAs in Sicily and southern Italy, or expelled to Libya.Finally, there is a point to be made about humanitarianism, power and order. Those looking to locate contemporary humanitarianism within a bigger picture would perhaps follow the lead of Hardt and Negri. As these theorists of ”Empire” see things, NGOs like Amnesty International and Médecins sans Frontières (MSF) are, contrary to their own best intentions, implicated in global order. As agents of ”moral intervention” who, because they participate in the construction of emergency, ”prefigure the state of exception from below,” these actors serve as the preeminent ”frontline force of imperial intervention.” As such, Hardt and Negri see humanitarianism as ”completely immersed in the biopolitical context of the constitution of Empire” (Hardt and Negri 2000: 36).Humanitarianism, Borders, Politics

Foucauldian writing about borders has mirrored the wider field of governmentality studies in at least one respect. While it has produced some fascinating and insightful accounts of contemporary strategies and technologies of border-making and border policing, it has tended to confine its attention to official and often state-sanctioned projects. Political dynamics and political acts have certainly not been ignored. But little attention has been paid to the possibility that politics and resistance operate not just in an extrinsic relationship to contemporary regimes, but within them.12 To date this literature has largely failed to view politics as something constitutive and productive of border regimes and technologies. That is to say, there is little appreciation of the ways in which movements of opposition, and those particular kinds of resistance which Foucault calls ”counter conduct,” can operate not externally to modes of bordering but by means of ”a series of exchanges” and ”reciprocal supports” (Foucault 2007: 355).

There is a certain paradox involved when we speak of Foucault and frontiers. In certain key respects it could be said that Foucault is one of our most eminent and original theorists of bordering. For at the heart of one of his most widely read works – namely Discipline and Punish – what does one

find if not the question of power and how its modalities should be studied by focusing on practices of partitionment, segmentation, division, enclosure; practices that will underpin the ordering and policing of ever more aspects of the life of populations from the nineteenth century onwards. But while Foucault is interested in a range of practices which clearly pertain to the question of bordering understood in a somewhat general sense, one thing the reading of his lectures on security, governmentality and biopolitics reveals is that he had little to say explicitly about the specific forms of bordering associated with the government of the state. To put it differently, Foucault dealt at length with what we might call the microphysics of bordering, but much less with the place of borders considered at the level of tactics and strategies of governmentality.Recent literature has begun to address this imbalance, demonstrating that many of Foucault’s concepts are useful and important for understanding what kinds of power relations and governmental regimes are at stake in contemporary projects which are re-making state borders amidst renewed political concerns over things like terrorism and illegal immigration. However, the overarching theme of this chapter has been the need for caution when linking Foucault’s concepts to the study of borders and frontiers today. While analytics like biopolitics, discipline and neoliberalism offer all manner of insights, we need to avoid the trap which sees Foucault’s toolbox as something ready-made for any given situation. The challenge of understanding the emergent requires the development of new theoretical tools, not to mention the sharpening of older, well-used implements. With this end in mind the chapter has proposed the idea of the humanitarian border as a way of registering an event within the genealogy of the frontier, but also, although I have not developed it here, within the genealogy of citizenship.

What I have presented previously is only a very cursory overview of certain features of the humanitarianization of borders, most notably its inscription within regimes of knowledge, and its constitutive relationship to politics. In future research it would be interesting to undertake a fuller mapping of the humanitarian border in relation to certain trajectories of government. While we saw how themes of biopolitical and neoliberal government are pertinent in understanding the contemporary management of spaces like the detention center, it would seem especially relevant to consider the salience of pastoralism. Pastoral power has received far less attention within studies of governmentality than, say, discipline or liberal government (but see Dean 1999; Golder 2007; Hindess 1996; Lippert 2004). But here again, I suspect, it will be important to revise our concepts in the light of emergent practices and rationalities. For the ways in which NGOs and humanitarians engage in the governance of migrants and refugees today have changed quite significantly from the kinds of networks of care, self-examination and salvation which Foucault identified with pastoralism. For instance, and to take but one example, the pastoral care of migrants, whether in situations of sanctuary or detention, is not organized as a life-encompassing, permanent activity as it was for the church, or later, in a secular version, the welfare state. Instead, it is a temporary and ad hoc intervention. Just as Foucault’s notion of neo-liberalism was intended to register important transformations within the genealogy of liberal government, it may prove useful to think in terms of the neo-pastoral when we try to make better sense of the phenomenon of humanitarian government at/of borders, and of many other situations as well.

When Standard Oil was ordered broken up in 1911, John D. Rockefeller started the Rockefeller Foundation as a way of changing his terrible public image. Rockefeller Holdings did business with the Nazis throughout World War II. They provided oil and gas to the Nazis. Senator Harry Truman told reporters that the company’s actions constituted “treason.” The Rockefeller Foundation funded the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for Psychiatry in Munich, Germany. They also provided large grants to the institute throughout the Hitler era. The Rockefeller Foundation also funded the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for Anthropology, Eugenics, and Human Heredity. If you follow the money, the Rockefellers, the Warburgs, and the Harrimans are often found behind the implementation of eugenics and psychiatric mind control. These families worked with the Round Table groups of Cecil Rhodes, who was an operative of the Rothschild family. After Hitler came to power, psychiatric institutes were incorporated into the Nazi system. The Nazis instituted a sterilization law, which was based on the Virginia Sterilization Act of 1924. At Auschwitz, many Jews filled out questionnaires from the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute. After being tortured and killed, some of their body parts were shipped to the same institute.

Wilhelm Maximilian Wundt, who is known as the father of experimental psychology, created the first experimental psychology laboratory. This became the model for psychological research around the globe. Jim Keith, who was offed by the CIA, said that Wundt “rejected the moral equation in dealing with mankind—thereby putting man in a test tube [so to speak]—and by doing so opened the door to many of the atrocities that followed in this century, including the horrors of mind control.” Next came along Ivan Petrovich Pavlov, with his discovery of classical conditioning. Pavlov implanted tubes into the cheeks of dogs, so that he could measure saliva levels. The dogs were conditioned to salivate at the sound of a bell, because they associated the sound of the bell with food. Then came John Watson, who used classical conditioning on “Little Albert.” Watson conditioned the toddler to fear a white rat. He repeatedly made loud noises when the boy was with the rat, frightening him. Albert was 11 months old when his conditioning began. Watson claimed that he could take any 12 infants and mold them into whatever kind of people he desired by using behavioral techniques. He also stated that “men are built, not born.” Now we get to Burrhus Frederic Skinner, who is called the father of operant conditioning. Skinner was also interested in the works of Ivan Petrovich Pavlov and John Watson. He conducted animal experiments in a “Skinner box.” He used rewards and punishments to shape behaviours. “Through some tinkering, he created the ‘air crib,’ a climate controlled environment for an infant. One of these air cribs resides in the gallery at the Center for the History of Psychology in Akron, Ohio.” His daughter slept and played in this box/crib for the first 2 years of her life. “We see operant conditioning training us everywhere, intentionally or unintentionally.”

The Nazis killed around 300,000 people with disabilities and mental illness in psychiatric hospitals. The United States, under Project Paperclip, brought around 5,000 Nazi scientists into the country. Charles Eliot Perkins, one of America’s leading chemists, said, “I was told of this entire scheme by a German chemist who was an official of the great Farben chemical industries and was also prominent in the Nazi movement at the time. I say this with all earnestness and sincerity of a scientist who has spent nearly 20 years’ research into the chemistry, biochemistry, physiology and pathology of fluorine—any person who drinks artificially fluorinated water for a period of one year or more will never again be the same person, mentally or physically.” The National Toxicology Program of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services states that there is a connection between fluoride and lowered IQ in children. Yet they don’t know if the dosage of fluoride, which they put in the water, is enough to lower IQ. Oddly enough, after all these years, the government doesn’t know if the amount of fluoride they are using is lowering the IQ of it citizens! A scientific paper titled “Fluoride and Pineal Gland,” found that fluoride accumulates in the pineal gland. The pineal gland undergoes mineralization and accumulates “extremely high concentrations of fluoride,” “making it the most fluoride-saturated organ of the human body.” Fluoride causes oxidative stress. Melatonin, which the pineal gland produces, helps to relieve oxidative stress. Yet melatonin production is reduced in a Pineal Gland that is calcified and saturated with fluoride. Scientific research has found that higher concentrations of fluoride stimulate the process of mineralization. Melatonin also helps to regulate the sleep cycle. It’s easy to see how fluoride could cause a population to have less energy due to the disruption of their sleep cycles caused by lower melatonin levels, thus producing a more lethargic and passive society. It could possibly cause an increase in mental illnesses, neurodegenerative diseases, brain tumors, and strokes. Fluoride also accumulates in other soft tissues such as the aorta, coronary arteries, and placenta. Therefore, fluoride can mineralize both hard and soft tissue.

In Prussia, the first compulsory school system was instituted. Although this educational system greatly improved literacy rates, it also created a dumbed-down style of education. It was criticized for its social control, for its creation of obedient subjects, and for its destruction of free will. The Prussian model of education greatly influenced other educational systems, such as the American educational system. In America, they moved away from phonics to a dumbed-down version of reading called sight-reading (Dick and Jane). This system of “not-teaching-reading was used essentially to disadvantage all but the privileged class.” It was said that if a child could be kept from reading well in the first six or seven years of school, then the damage would be done. This kind of curriculum is supposed to outwardly look academic. Yet it is comprised of units that are either too short for proper and effective learning, or too long and wasteful and inefficient. All who have gone through the public educational system have been given a dumbed-down education. Common Core, No Child Left Behind, and the Three-Cueing System are prime examples of education being increasingly dumbed-down. Modern education is about socializing students, as opposed to teaching them to be true critical thinkers. Yet the ability of children to socialize has declined and so has their literacy.

Dr. G. Brock Chisholm, the first director-general of the World Health Organization, said, “What basic psychological distortion can be found in every civilization of which we know anything? The only psychological force capable of producing these perversions is morality—the concept of right and wrong. The re-interpretation and eventual eradication of the concept of right and wrong are the belated objectives of nearly all psychotherapy.” He also remarked, “To achieve world government, it is necessary to remove from the minds of men, their individualism, loyalty to family traditions, national patriotism and religious dogmas.”

The CIA desired to create a Manchurian Candidate. Dr. George Estabrooks stated in an interview that to make an effective assassin, one must use hypnosis to create multiple personalities. Estabrooks also said, “I can hypnotize a man without his knowledge or consent into committing treason against the United States.” He also suggested that Lee Harvey Oswald and Jack Ruby could have been acting through hypnosis. The intelligence community found that hypnosis was more effective with the use of drugs.

The CIA was very interested in LSD. CIA spook, George Hunter White, who would secretly slip LSD into the drinks of johns, stated, “I was a very minor missionary, actually a heretic, but I toiled wholeheartedly in the vineyards because it was fun, fun, fun. Where else could a red-blooded American boy lie, kill, cheat, steal, rape, and pillage with the sanction and blessing of the All-Highest?” The CIA contacted Dr. Nick Bercel in 1953. They asked him how much LSD it would take for the population of Los Angeles to trip out. Bercel, however, found that chlorinated water neutralized LSD. The CIA, of course, moved on to more potent drugs like 3-Quinuclidinyl Benzilate.

The military and the CIA were also testing Phenylcyclohexyl Piperidine (PCP), also known on the streets as Angel Dust. Since the CIA was behind the push of LSD on the streets, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see how PCP made it onto the streets (how about crack cocaine?). “According to a 1968 FBI memorandum, Jerry Garcia, the leader of the Grateful Dead, was used ‘to channel youth dissent and rebellion into more benign and non-threatening directions.’” “The first member of the Grateful Dead to take LSD, Robert Hunter, did so under the auspices of a ‘government sponsored’ Stanford University drug study.” Michael Hollingshead, who has been linked to British Intelligence, also turned many English rock stars onto LSD. During this time, the CIA created radical student organizations that were run by undercover agents. Indeed, the CIA funded and controlled the National Student Association.

Perry Raymond Russo testified on March 16, 1967, before a New Orleans court. He said that he witnessed David Ferrie, Claw Shaw, and a man named Leon Oswald, plotting to kill John F. Kennedy. Ferrie stated that they would use a triangle cross-fire pattern. Ferrie remarked that one of the three shooters would be a scapegoat for the other two. “On Nov. 22, 1963, Permindex oversaw the successful assassination of U.S. President John F. Kennedy, as EIR has documented in its book Dope Inc.” Permindex was an undercover intelligence assassination bureau, a “network of protected killers whose actions have irreversibly shaped the course of history for the last two decades.” It appears that Permindex, the FBI, and the Defense Intelligence Agency collaborated to kill JFK. It looked to be very well orchestrated, with high level officials in the know. It sounds like JFK’s actions ticked off some very powerful people in Britain, thus his fate was sealed. The assassination seems to have been a joint British and American intelligence operation. Obviously, Lee Harvey Oswald was the patsy.

Trauma-based mind control is extremely effective. It can also be used on the general population. COVID-19 is a prime example: many were conditioned to except authoritarian measures. With some economic trauma, our world will soon accept digital biometric IDs, CBDCs, social credit scores, and universal basic income. From JFK to 9/11, to COVID-19 and onward, to where no man has gone before! So how was American society affected by the murder of JFK? The years following, the crime rate more than doubled. It obviously caused a demoralization of American society. Many people did not believe the official story. An American President was assassinated in public for all to see, yet the information about this heinous act was kept secret (classified). Really!?! “Its purpose was to shock the American consciousness into a near-comatose state for reprogramming.”

In one form of mind control, they will force the subject to repeatedly watch snuff films and other immoral acts. This is to desensitize them. The more desensitized a person becomes, the more immoral a person becomes. The more immoral a person becomes, the more jaded a person becomes. The more jaded a person becomes, the easier they are to manipulate and control. It’s easier to make an immoral person more corrupt. They half-blindly become complicit in the lusts of their own deceit. As the Bible states, they deceive others, while they themselves are being deceived. They have been executing a softer version of this on the public. The entertainment we have been fed has promoted nudity, sex, drugs, and violence. Indeed, society has become willfully ignorant and complicit. Today’s society has been desensitized to the point of accepting eugenics: birth control, abortion, and euthanasia. Today’s society has become so sexually immoral and hedonistic that many are okay with sexually grooming children in schools and libraries. Many in Gen Z have become nihilistic and apathetic, dropping out of life. Many in Gen Alpha can’t read and are addicted to doom scrolling. Society is being conditioned to be a bunch of zombies—blank slates.

Cognitive warfare is a hyper-personalized targeting of an individual, using information and cognitive techniques. It is aided by datamining, data analytics, and artificial intelligence. Cognitive attacks are used to sidestep the conscious mind, which is rational, and instead, they target the hidden emotions of the subconscious. “Psychology often suggests that only about 5–10% of the mind is conscious, while 90–95% operates at the subconscious level.” The goal is to target the subconscious mind, particularly the Amygdala. The Amygdala is part of the limbic system, which “acts as a central hub for sensory integration and emotional processing.” The Amygdala links emotions to memories, learning, and senses. Cognitive warfare is used to alter the perception of reality. It is used to deceive the brain, thus manipulating the decision-making processes. Social media can be used to weaken cognitive abilities. Its content can easily stir up emotions, causing people to react quickly. Social media can be used to datamine personal information. Smart devices can also be used to collect information such as blood pressure, heart rate, and hours of sleep. This information can then be used to target individuals at an opportune time. Like when they are tired or hungry, stressed or angry. Digital spaces create echo chambers, causing individuals to focus on certain narratives. This can create a hivemind effect, which results in polarization and distrust. The fast pace of social media, means there is less time to think. This tends to cause people to follow the narrative without question. They accept whatever seems to line up with their viewpoints or beliefs or their group. This creates lazy thinkers. People then start to delegate their thinking to “influencers,” experts, or artificial intelligence. Those with poor literacy or critical thinking skills are most susceptible. A fragmented society, which lacks social interaction, is also more susceptible to cognitive warfare.

Sirhan Sirhan, who killed Robert F. Kennedy, definitely looks like a CIA tool. If one puts together witness testimonies of Sirhan before the assassination, it becomes obvious that CIA agents were with Sirhan, and that they were running him through the assassination process. “Although the witness could not identify who was talking, she heard the words ‘Kennedy,’ and ‘Get in the car, we have to get him tonight,’ as well as ‘Don’t want to,’ and ‘Afraid.’” Sirhan was seen drawing out a map of the hotel—some kind of floor plan. Dr. Bernard Diamond, a psychiatrist who examined Sirhan under hypnosis, asked him about some weird entries in his notebook. Diamond asked him, “Is this crazy writing?” Sirhan wrote, “YES YES YES.” Diamond asked, “Are you crazy?” Sirhan replied, “NO NO.” Diamond reiterated, “Well, why are you writing crazy?” Sirhan answered back, “PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE.” Diamond questioned him, “Practice for what?” Sirhan wrote, “MIND CONTROL MIND CONTROL MIND CONTROL.” Seven years after the assassination, a Psychological Stress Evaluator (PSE)—a device used to detect and measure stress levels through voice analysis—was used to analyze Sirhan’s voice during interviews that he had had with psychologists. An expert in the field said, “I’m convinced that Sirhan wasn’t aware of what he was doing. He was in a hypnotic trance when he pulled the trigger and killed Senator Kennedy... Timothy McVeigh, who was involved in the Oklahoma City bombing, said that he had been implanted with a microchip and believed that he was under mind control. Many times in the past, when hypnosis and drugs were used for mind control, the person was given a secret microchip implant. Even with today’s Voice-to-Skull technology, some victims are also given a secret microchip implant. “It is likely that most of the mass shooting events are orchestrated by the CIA and FBI, using the techniques developed under the CIA’s MK-Ultra program.”

Remember Jim Jones and the Jonestown massacre? Jones established the first People’s Temple in Ukiah, California. Some of his top lieutenants were connected to intelligence agencies. While in Brazil, Jim Jones told his Brazilian neighbours that he was working with Navy Intelligence and that his house and food were supplied by the U.S. Embassy. Jones regularly visited the city of Belo Horizonte, where the headquarters of the CIA was located in Brazil. George Philip Blakey “is reported to have been a CIA operative and to have run mercenaries out of Jonestown, supplying forces to the CIA-backed UNITA in Angola. Blakey is reported to have made the original $650,000 deposit on the land in Guyana that was to become Jonestown.” The Unification Church of Reverend Sun Myung Moon also had ties to intelligence. It had 600 front groups. Reverend Moon also purchased the Washington Times.

The Finders group was another American intelligence cult-like group. The Washington City Paper reported that “the Finders constantly walk the streets, following people home and taking extensive notes and pictures.” Law enforcement raided their warehouse and found that the Finders where running an international child trafficking operation. They would respond to news paper ads for babysitters and tutors, so they could gather information. They also collected vast amounts of data on numerous child care organizations. In their warehouse, they had a place where they could produce videos. They were possibly producing pornography. They had a place in the warehouse that seemed to be a training area for children. This area also had jars of urine and feces and what appeared to be an altar.

During the cold war, the Russians and Americans were using low frequencies to bombard the ionosphere. This irradiation of the upper atmosphere is what most likely created the hole in the earth’s ozone layer. The Russians, with their Russian Woodpecker broadcasts, were the first to use this technology. The Americans, however, used frequencies less dangerous than the Russians. The Russians used 10 Hertz, while the Americans used 30 Hertz. This Nikola Tesla technology, which they were using, could also cause earthquakes and hurricanes; it could control the weather (even in space); it could also be used for mind control. The 1974 earthquake in Tangshan, China, was quite possibly caused by the Russians. The New York Times reported that before the first tremor the sky lit up like daylight. The sky became multi-hued—white and red. Tree leaves burned and vegetables scorched. This light was seen approximately 200 miles away. The American’s built HAARP, estimated to be 72,000 times more powerful than the next most powerful radio transmitter. “HAARP broadcasts at the same frequencies as those of the human brain.” HAARP was turned on at the time of the Lytton fire, which burned the town to the ground. During this time, Lytton recorded the highest temperature ever recorded in Canada. The next day, the wildfire started that burned down Lytton. Climate change? Lahaina fire? Drought, flooding, and fires? Directed Energy Weapons? Chemtrails? Agenda 21? Get the people off the land? New World Order agenda? Ultimate control?

The CIA and other intelligence agencies target individuals with Directed Energy Weapons and Voice-to-Skull technology. Voice-to-Skull technology is used to stimulate the Cochlear, which is part of the inner ear. This remotely projects sound into the ear using certain frequencies. The CIA tries to drive their victims crazy. They use verbal abuse to demoralize them. They use piercing frequencies, which cause immense mental anguish. There is no relief from these sounds, which also haunts the targets at night. They use sleep deprivation to break their victims down. They use frequencies that cause intense physical pain. They can fine-tune the torment, in order to make the suffering as unbearable as possible. Today’s technologies can remotely monitor brainwaves, alter brainwaves, alter behavior, project sound into the brain, project pictures into the brain, target organs in the body, and cause pain anywhere in the body. They can also alter DNA, and control bioelectric and biochemical processes. They tap into the victim’s subconscious, using their memories against them. They view a person’s thoughts in real time. They have better access to what is in the victim’s head than the victims themselves. The victims can converse with their antagonists merely by thinking of what they would like to say. They have no privacy; their inner thoughts and their inner dialogue are fully known. They know all that the person has experienced in life, even forgotten memories, because the perpetrators have total access to their brain. These psychopaths can strip them of all their energy, putting them into a zombie-like state. They can make their victims chronically depressed. And the list goes on and on and on! One’s own mind and body can be transformed into a torture chamber, where there is no escape. Microwaves can be used to make people insane. They can turn people into vegetables. They can even kill people.

These targeted individuals are tracked by satellites; there is no escape for them. The government uses GPS Block III satellites, which are manufactured by Lockheed Martin, to track and attack these individuals. Raytheon KTech, with its 2010 sales of $25 billion, and 72,000 employees worldwide, is working on the next generation of these microwave weapons. Raytheon is also upgrading the Operational Control System software for the ground station operators at Schriever Space Force Base. This system controls all of the GPS satellites that track and attack targeted individuals. AT&T is also being used to track and attack United States citizens. 5G anyone? Again, these satellite and cell tower weapons are controlled from Schriever Space Force Base near Colorado Springs.

Totalitarianism is a product of the Enlightenment tradition. It places faith in human rationality. It’s a belief system in which man’s intellect can save man, the world, and the universe. Man will solve man’s problems, thus bringing salvation to mankind. Its priests desire to form a new society built on rationality. They want a world without pain and suffering. They even want to conquer death. Science, man’s new religion, has its own creation story. In this story, man has been reduced to particles that interact according to the laws of mechanics. Life and mankind were randomly produced without any purpose or direction. Man is seen as a machine; he works (repetitively) as a machine; he will merge with machine. The universe is also a machine, and it too will eventually be manipulated. The spiritual elect of this religion look forward to an artificial heaven on earth, where man and nature have been replaced by perfect technological clones. Once this happens, man will have conquered both man and nature. He will then gain eternal life. He will synthetically live forever. “Amen and Hallelujah!” shout the transhumanists. As a result, the totalitarians will have realized their goal of a superman/super race like the New Soviet Man/Aryan Race. The idolatry of science, which aims to create a perfect world, will ultimately result in a dystopian nightmare. Their rationality will become irrational. Secular humanism will fail.

With science came technological advancement. These advances separated man from nature, tradition, and family. The industrial revolution changed the social fabric of society. Before industrialization, most families lived in rural areas and did agricultural work. The family worked together to support itself. Multiple generations lived together in the same area. Extended families were an important part of society. After industrialization, many families moved to urban areas and did manufacturing work. They became cogs in the machine, working meaningless jobs. This movement split up the extended family unit. Then there was one: the nuclear family. “The dynamics of industrialization contributed to the rise of single-parent families. Factors such as increased divorce rates, the normalization of out-of-wedlock childbirth, and the empowerment of women to raise children independently all played a role in this shift.” As you can see, the nuclear family has not fared too well. Technology produced the radio, television, and social media, which have created an antisocial society. Technology was supposed to make life easier; it was supposed to make us happier, yet it has made us lonely and unhappy. Society has lost its meaning. People come home from meaningless jobs, only to live meaningless social lives online. Wolves chase after those separated from the herd, because they are easy targets. When the isolated are rounded up and killed, no one will fight for them because they are isolated from the herd. Those who are alone and isolated will be seen as useless eaters by their enemies. “To keep you is no gain; to kill you is no loss.” Indeed, a lonely society is very prone to accepting totalitarianism.

The Enlightenment was supposed to empower us, yet we have become more powerless. The Enlightenment was supposed to make us more independent, yet we have become more dependent. Plus, technology is controlled by the few. With science, a perfect artificial world is being built. It’s creating a fake Garden of Eden that is full of genetically modified foods, lab-grown meat, sex dolls that look like Eve, and synthetic-fiber clothing to hide our naked bodies of sin. Don’t eat the genetically modified fruit, it will kill you! Automated machines, robots, and artificial intelligence will replace man’s toil. Artificial wombs will replace the pain of childbirth. The digital paradise being constructed dehumanizes us. It steals our humanity. It makes us insecure, unempathetic, narcissistic, apathetic, cowardly, lonely, and isolated. An insecure society is less resilient. An insecure society is easier to control. An unempathetic, narcissistic, apathetic, and cowardly society will look the other way when people are rounded up and killed. A lonely and isolated society is weak and submissive. They feel empty and meaningless, and they have little self-worth. Such a society yearns for direction and authority. They are weak and lazy and want someone (the state) to take care of them.

We have a dumbed-down society. The education system teaches us how to be cogs in the machine. Mass media is a giant propaganda machine, indoctrinating the masses. The ignorant zombies have been trained to listen to the experts. These experts lead the sheep with twisted data and statistics. Thus, the people are easily led. Safety: give up your freedom of privacy to fight terror. Misinformation: give up your freedom of speech to fight hate speech. 15-minute cities: give up your freedom of movement to fight climate change. Mass immigration: give up your culture for multiculturalism. Abortion is women’s health. Euthanasia is good. By the way, how many genders are there? Society has been molded and shaped. You have been taught what to think, not how to think.

Students have been indoctrinated and radicalized by feminism, gender theory, critical race theory, and decolonialism. The goal: abolish women, gender, race, borders and nations. All hail the tranhumanist new world order! The youth are taught that capitalism is bad and socialism is good. They’ve been taught to hate their own country, traditions, values, and culture. They’ve been taught to hate their own race! Humiliation is a tool of control to shape and guide them. If a person loses their identity, they can be easily manipulated and brainwashed. Our youth have been taught that a communist revolution is necessary to overthrow capitalism. The end justifies the means! Therefore, radicals in the education system have raised up an army of woke activists. These woke evangelists have been poisoned by envy, hate, and bitterness. It doesn’t help that subversive billionaires are pouring hundreds of millions of dollars into supposed ‘organic’ protests, which are being organized by professional protesters (communist agitators). Wokeism is the new puritan movement of today, with its moral values and commandments. These born-again socialists preach the dialectic gospel of social(ist) justice and equality. These radicalized saints promise a perfect world. A radicalized society is prone to accepting totalitarianism. In fact, it’s extremely prone to accepting totalitarianism. Especially when the youth are radicalized!

Science, the religion of the day, has become corrupted. Fraud in scientific research is increasing. Falsified scientific papers are becoming more and more common. The perception of reality can be steered by crunching numbers in any desired fashion. (Climate change data is famous for distorting numbers.) Totalitarians mold the perception of reality with propaganda. The COVID-19 hysteria, with its “follow the science,” was proof of its degeneration. People blindly became disciples of the experts. Their apostles commanded: Mask up, even though it’s ineffective! Social distance, even though it’s useless! Take a PCR test, even though it’s unreliable! Take the vaccines, even though they haven’t been properly tested! Ivermectin is bad, even though it can help some patients! The population must be locked down, even though it’s physically and mentally bad for their health and weakens their immune system! Herd immunity, what’s that? Small businesses must be shutdown, even though big corporations like Walmart can stay open! Schools must be shut down, even though the average age of death is 70+ years old! Fire the unvaccinated healthcare workers, even though the emergency rooms are supposedly full and short-staffed! TicTok nurses! Dance, baby, dance! We’re in a pandemic, can’t you see!?! Falsely mark down unrelated deaths as COVID deaths—beef up those numbers! Big numbers, big money! Since this is science, we must suppress opposing ideas! Science that censors different opinions is not science. Much of society faithfully trusted the science, with its religious experts and scientific doctrines, numbers and graphs. In Nazi Germany, children were conditioned to accept any form of authority without question. Without question, many people blindly obeyed the COVID restrictions. To this day, some people mask up in public. They are religious zealots! They still haven’t woken up from their indoctrination. The science of today: take a big pharma flu shot, rather than rely on your own immune system; take a big pharma flu shot, rather than eat foods that are high in antioxidants like vitamin C. Could you not just find a natural vitamin C supplement? Nope! We love big pharma! We love big corporations! We love Big Brother! We love fascism! Since you’ve been trained to be a consumer, you’ll consume what has been marketed to you. Oh, the science of propaganda! Ah, the science of marketing!

During COVID-19, people were not only begging for totalitarian measures, but they were applauding them. They wanted strict rules to ease their uncertainty, fear, and insecurity. They coped with their insecurity by running others down. The big bad enemies were not the Jews, but the unvaccinated. Fear needs an enemy! People were calling for the unvaccinated to be rounded up. Some even wanted the unvaccinated killed. This made them feel more secure, like they had the upper hand. They had the camaraderie of the mob; they felt like they belonged! The extra rules helped ease their anxiety. They felt more in control of their fear. The fellowship of the mob helped to further ease their stress and insecurity. There is security in numbers! They rebuked, denounced, and excommunicated heretical friends and relatives who strayed from the holy narrative. They felt righteous, because they were supposedly fighting for a righteous cause. This made them feel virtuous. They were crusaders for the truth, and they felt heroic! They felt relief as they took out their frustrations on their enemies. They blew off steam! They felt good! They felt energized!

These people had an authoritarian mindset. Their true selves, their true natures, came to the surface. They had a mob mentality. They had a pack mentality. These people were so filled with fear, hysteria, and panic that they could not think straight. They lost their ability to calm down and think things through. They could not regulate their fears and emotions. As a result, they could not think critically. How can one think critically in a panic? In fact, since they were taught to be cogs in the machine, they weren’t really taught to be critical thinkers. Just as a child must learn how to walk, a child must be taught how to critically think. They were taught to solve problems related to the machine, but they were not taught to think outside the machine. That is why they say things like: I support free speech, ‘but’ not hate speech. They don’t even understand how speech operates under the framework of free speech. They literally can’t understand the concept of free speech! It’s over their heads. Will these people ever change? Nope, I’ve yet to see any of them apologize for their actions during COVID. Given the right crisis, our society will accept totalitarianism.

Big government, with its increased bureaucracy, administration, and management, loves to make ever-increasing rules and regulations. We are drawing closer and closer to totalitarianism. We will soon have a totalitarian system with digital biometric IDs, central bank digital currencies, and social credit scores. We are becoming a total surveillance society. Our data is being collected, tracked, analyzed, and sold. COVID caused a worldwide hypnosis, a mass hysteria, in which the masses were ready to trade their freedoms for safety. Nothing much has changed. The world’s population is slowly being boiled like a frog; it’s slowly being corralled into a worldwide authoritarian system. Like Nazi Germany, many today would pick totalitarianism if they were promised economic solutions in a time of financial hardship. If we had another great depression like the 1930s, many in our decadent society would pick a totalitarian system. They would choose digital IDs, CBDCs, and social credit scores if they could receive universal basic income to feed their families. Is it really a stretch to see why people would accept the Mark of the Beast?

In the fourth industrial revolution, man will physically merge with technology. Of course, this technology is supposed to make man smarter and healthier. It’s supposed to turn man into the perfect superman. How can the imperfect make the perfect? Man is an imperfect sinner. He has sinned against God. God is perfect, and sin is imperfect. Perfection and imperfection do not mix. Righteousness and sin do not mix. Light expels darkness, God expels sin. God’s punishment for sin is death. God will permit sinful man to utilize his strength and rationality to attempt to work out his own salvation. Ultimately, man will fail. Christ will return to stop man from destroying all life on earth at the battle of Armageddon (Matthew 24:22). Jesus will destroy those who, in their sin, are destroying the earth (Revelation 11:18). Jesus first came as a sacrificial Lamb for the atonement of sins. The second time, Jesus will come as a roaring lion to destroy His enemies. His enemies will choose His imposter, the antichrist. They will accept the transhuman Mark of the Beast. As a result, they will forfeit salvation. Only in Christ (the perfect sacrifice) is sin forgiven. Will you accept His salvation? Or will you try, in your sin, to work out your own salvation?

Revelation 3:20 “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and fellowship with him, and he with Me.”
