A billboard at the corner of Seventh Avenue and 42nd St. just outside of Times Square. There was something about the red truck and the girl that struck me as the photo to post of the ones I took. And Iâve always loved the question âwhat if?â
âRainmanâ decided to advertise his latest film using a mobile billboard; it appears not very mobile. He would have been better off hooking up to that ladyâs buggy; at least it would be moving.
This picture was taken outside the Central Library, Manchester, UK.
Photo taken somewhere around the early 1980s. Film is Tri-X. I didn't keep very good records then so I don't know the exact date or the exact camera. It was either a Pentax ME or a Nikon FM. Those were the 2 I owned at the time.
This billboard seemed to be all aflutter with a wee bit of a sparkled from the diamond in the ring... one of the most delicate billboard images I've ever seen in... don't have a clue tho, who it represents.. must be a diamond jeweler in the city...
The temporary camaraderie of these "plywood men" will only last the duration of the billboard campaign.

An Indian casino 60 miles away advertises the tribe's environmental awareness in Chinatown, home to lots of casino goers.
A CSX local powered by an SD40-2 from Charleston's Bennett Yard heads towards the Peninsula. That the Billboard is not what it seems is coincidental.
Shot in Soho in Manhattan. Billboard posters like these can seen in many parts of the city esp in Manhattan.Many Manhattanites don't approve of them because they block their view of the street. Others find them distasteful and offensive because some of them border on pornography,esp the Calvin Klein ones,as far as they're concerned and they don't want their children being exposed to them.Some landlords however like them because they promote business.
got to break up the plethora of selfies or people think you're a narcissist. the colors of the billboard work but i ain't feeling the huge budweiser sign. yes, yes i know i took the shot.
but they didn't know we were seeds". Words originally spoken/written by a Greek poet, Dinos Christianopoulos in 1978 (who was gay). They have now been used in songs and in murals
