From an alley near the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica, California.

I am not really into photographing the big rig, but I found this is a quite interesting. It locates in a near-ghost town in the high risk flood zone. It's kinda looking spooky, but fascinating.

Image captured on the move.

Caught from my vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.

Semi-truck heading south, camera heading north :)

I would like to invite you to visit my 'Night and Twlight' album:

This scene has played out for a long time on this abandoned Stephenson County property. It's not too often you come across a forgotten big rig along with an abandoned house. It's like they pulled in to haul stuff away, it quit,so just add it to scenery...

Have a great truck Thursday all!

Big Shiny Truck...

One day on the way home i noticed this big rig, double hauler "B" train, fuel, cargo tanker and the sky and surroundings reflected beautifully in its shiny finish. I thought it made a great capture. this shot was taken while in motion shot through the passenger window...

Big rig trucker heading south on the Alaska Highway, most likely empty.

Learned a couple of days later in the trip that a lot of extra loads had come up with supplies after folks around Anchorage emptied the store shelves post earthquake.

Alaska Highway, upper Tanana country.

For those who might wonder, I was pulled off on the side of the road.

We see a lot of big rigs driving through the city due to no by-pass any where near us.

The other day I uploaded a long, wide load on the Leichhardt Highway between Moura and Wandoan in Queensland. Well, there were two loads and here is the second. This one was actually wider than the other, and if you look closely for the flags that distinguish the outside edges of the load, you will see that there is very little room left on the road. For this one, we were over as far as we could get and we still saw the load sweep past my nose!

photography can be all consuming, but if you walk around with photography in mind 24/7, it's interesting what you might find.
