I had some fun with this one and learned some Photoshop tricks while I was doing it. As soon as I get another boarder staying here I'm going back to the coast. Just seems like there's just a lot of cool adjustments I can do to coastal shots.

Dadia Forest
The Dadia Forest is a large area of natural woodland in the Evros regional unit in northeastern Greece. The forest consists mostly of oak and pine. April is National Poetry Month, a celebration of poets and poetry that's been in place for 25 years.
Last month, as the U.S. grieved over attacks against Asian Americans, NPR's Morning Edition collected poems on how people grapple with the increased violence and discrimination.
Over 500 listeners shared powerful, poignant poems — in the form of a list beginning with the word "today." They showcased fear, anger, empathy and motivation to make the world a better place.
NPR's resident poet Kwame Alexander took lines from the submissions to create a community poem, "Today, I Am A Witness To Change."

This sign on the east side of highway 10 caught my eye, framed in by this incredibly beautiful streaky blue and white sky

Todays challenge on www.photochallenge.org/ was "Empty"
So for my lunchtime photo walk I headed to the little park not to far from my Office just adjacent to the FDR highway, have taken a few shots there before, but this one is from the walkwy that goes over it and the FDR to where i often take shots of the 59th Street Bridge
Was another nice clear day so got quite a few shots in the park so more will come later
There is nothing better than friends....
except friends WITH food!

Back yard birding, Yakima County, Washington. I got much better photo of this bird yesterday (Sept. 17) than I did on the 16th, assuming that this is the same bird. Every year a few migrants stop by on their way south. This week I have seen Yellow Warbler and Orange-crowned Warbler. This is a young 1st year bird that I had difficulty identifying the first time I saw it. Smoke cut down on available light and the air quality continues to be reported as hazardous.
The first White-crowned Sparrow of the season showed up yesterday. I saw one at daylight and about an hour latter there were at least 20. I will post photos latter. IMG_3875
Everything looks cleaner, better and more fresh after rain has fallen on it cleaning all the dust and dirt on it. I had noticed a beautiful garden outside the guesthouse I was putting up in Janjehli. This garden had some very lovely flowers. It was in this garden that I shot this red Dahlia flower at night after it stopped raining. This flower was the most beautiful shade of red. It was a large variety with many layers of petals. The black background of the night with red Dahlia covered in rainwater drops looked like a happy woman in red dancing with joy after being drenched in rain!
