It seems that the person who was renovating these flats ran out of blue paint before the job was finished...
Seen very close to the cathedral in Canterbury, England.
Evening at Sligachan on Skye. Cloud v Mountain battle it out. Mountain wins.
The mountain is called Glamaig (greedy woman) and is a Corbett - 775m (2,543') tall. It is part of the Red Hills of Skye.

2010 was hands down the best year in my life. Period. It was so amazingly great that this year in comparison seems so lame and rough to date. It was also the year where I officially could call myself one of the proud Amanjunkies, a title I hold so dearly that I felt as if I have won an Oscar or even the Noble Prize.
While the Aman experience was the highlight of the year, but I was even more impressed to find out that the Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong has never ceased to amaze me, even after many stays in the past. I finally got the chance to experience their piece-de-resistance L900 Landmark Suite, a suite so breathtakingly beautiful that it makes all hotel rooms seems so boring during my stays now.
Another perennial favourite is the sumptuous breakfast at the St. Regis Bali. 3 stays in one year just to savour its breakfast, so you'll be the judge. This year also seen more adventure in resort staying; and one of the most beautiful resorts I have ever visited in my life is the Alila Villas Uluwatu. Although it was not perfect (the food at CIRE was so disappointing), its stunning contemporary design has really won me over.
2010 has also been the Year of Fine Dining. From the kitchens of Chef of the Century, Joel Robuchon in Hong Kong; to Pierre Gagnaire in Seoul; to Jean Georges in Shanghai; and Daniel Boulud in Beijing, it was truly an amazing culinary experience. But my #1 favourite of the year was Vincent Thierry's Caprice at the Four Seasons, Hong Kong. Although my mother's pork dishes remain the undisputed winner, Thierry's crispy skinned pork was heavenly. It literally sent me to heaven.

CHECK THIS OUT TOO:
The Isle of Skye and Elgol - the greatest place on Earth.
Broadford, on Skye, the village nearest to the Bridge from the Kyle of Lochalsh (on the Mainland) and is a 15mile drive on mostly single track roads to Elgol - well worth the journey (for me, it is a pilgrimage of sorts, to the most beautiful place in the UK).
Elgol, situated on Loch Scavaig, is magnificent, across the Sea Loch is the Black Cuillin disappearing into the deep Sea Loch.
This pic was taken at Elgol Pier, looking out towards the Black Cuillin, with the "Islander" berthed until the morn.
A beautiful wave coming ashore on the Island of Harris, in the Inner Hebrides.
Notice how green and clear the waters are.
A wave straight from the Atlantic Ocean, striking land.
3,000 miles of ocean becoming a force on Scotland.
The waves were in the region of 2 - 4 metres.
The Elizabeth Arden Building, formerly the Aeolian Building, at 689 Fifth Avenue, was built from 1925-1927 by Warren & Wetmore for the Gould Realty Co. Until 1938, the 14-story French Renaissance style building was leased as the headquarters of the Aeolian Company, a leading manufacturer of pianos and roll-operated instruments, who maintained a 150-seat recital hall on the second floor. Following Aelion's departure, the building served as the flagship salon for Elizabeth Arden, who is still a tenant. It set a new retail leasing record in 1970 when Gucci agreed to pay $100 per square foot for retail space in the corner store.
The former Aeolian Building was designated a landmark by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission in 2002.

Glen Etive in Scotland is one of our most beautiful places. It sits directly behind Glencoe, on its southern border, just over its hills. It comprises a 15mile single track road along its middle, with the river Etive to your left on the visit to Loch Etive. You cannot camp in Glencoe, but you can in Glen Etive, and thousands do each year.
Glen Etive is at the start of Glencoe, and is only 1.5 hrs. from Glasgow.
It is the start of the wilderness that is the Scottish Highlands.
Famously shown in the last Bond Movie - Skyfall, it is the Parental home to James Bond.
One of the most scenic Glens in Scotland, with a river running through it to the sea-loch of Loch Etive, it is one of the most spectacular and remote spots in Scotland.

Situated in the resort of Xtabi, Negril, Jamaica, this is one of the greatest seaview hotel rooms in the world. If its not in the top 10 - I would be astonished. If it is not in the top 3, then I would be amazed. The sun sets just outside the room, and you have your own private sunbathing area. Unbelievable spot.
Dec 2013, Lindisfarne Castle taken from fence level.
Again, as an amateur photographer, I consider this to be amongst the 10 best pictures I have taken.
Lindisfarne is known as The Holy Island of Lindisfarne, or Holy Island, or Holy Isle, Northumberland.
It dates from the 6th Century and is one of the oldest remaining places in the UK.
Top tourist attraction.
Got the jeans wet, while bending down to get the fence and Castle in. Goes with the hobby I suppose.

Taken at Sligachan on the Isle of Skye, June 2016. Watched for an hour as the cloud closed in and had a "fight" with the mountain. No prizes for guessing who won...
The mountain is called Glamaig (greedy woman) and is a Corbett - 775m (2,543') tall. It is part of the Red Hills of Skye.
The mountain to the east of Sligachan is Glamaig (a Corbett at 775m, literal translation - greedy woman.).
Taken in the last of the evenings light at the Sligachan Campsite, with the river sligachan in the foreground.
Mountain tops are red as the sun sets.

Taken in Glen Etive, just behind the mountains of Glencoe.
Shows a pool and rock formations of the River Etive, with a car and tent in the background.
The "faces" in the rocks were carved by the river, over a course of thousands of years.
Clear, clear river, one of Scotland's best.
One of the most beautiful places to pitch a tent in Scotland.
Wild camping allowed in Glen Etive, unlike Glencoe.
My tent and car are in the top left of the shot. So insignificant in their surroundings.
