It was quite cloudy at sunset and the glow only lasted a few minutes. Photo was taken at a cove in the famous Horseshoe Bay beach in Bermuda.
In Bermuda, there are chickens everywhere.
This particular chicken just decided to cross the road.
I asked her "Why do you want to cross the road?" She thought about it for a few seconds and replied, "Because I can."
There's your answer!

Bermuda Night Heron (Geeust kydden)
This bird took “social distancing” to a whole new level. When I received word that someone had seen a Bermuda Night Heron on Outback Key, I knew I had to try and get it on my life list. Afterall, an opportunity to see one outside of Bermuda is extremely rare. Something else that makes the encounter extraordinary is that they are nocturnal hunters. Not typically seen out in the open during the day. This one must have got way off course and wound up on our shores, as many wayward birds do this time of year. I think after its long flight, it didn’t matter what time it was - it was time to eat!
Lovely couple enjoying beautiful sunny day at Dockyard Beach Kings Wharf, Bermuda waytomakeatravel.wordpress.com/2023/09/06/tobacco-bay/
I saw this beautiful plumeria a the Royal Naval Dockyard located at the far western end of Bermuda. Construction for the massive fortress began in 1809.
The dockyards are just a short walk from the cruise pier.
In 2005, my mother and I went on a cruise to Bermuda. It was a wonderful experience! I fell in love with the place and would love to go back some day. I wasn't into photography back then, but I was looking through the pics I got with my little Fuji F10 and some of them aren't too bad. I don't think I posted this one before, but if I did, hardly anyone saw it. So here it is again! :) This has been re-processed a bit with Lightroom 4 and Nik Color Efex.
It seems that my followers like the panorama photos. I decided to give one of my best. Bermuda sunset. Stitched and processed for HDR exclusively in the new LR 6. Great tool!
Most of the businessmen you see walking around Bermuda sport these crazy shorts with shirts, ties, and knee-high wool socks; 9 July 2008.
This small beach near the Docklands at the West End of Bermuda is an interesting place to spend a little time, seeing all the interesting things that have washed up on the shore and enjoying watching the windsurfer fly by.
Bermuda's pink sand beaches and clear, cerulean blue ocean waters are popular with tourists and imitated in buildings.
