An allée of London Plane trees, just like Paris!
One of the formal entries to the University of California at Berkeley campus. (and part of my normal morning walking trail)
I read recently that many of the formal parks in Paris favor London Plane trees in their allées.
Lead by three P&W B40's, #4003 - #4001 - #4006, a loaded unit ethanol train is seen rolling down the mainline through the village of Berkeley in Cumberland, RI. The "straight-railed" switch to the right used to serve KIK Custom Products, a long time customer of the Providence and Worcester Railroad.

When I came here two days later it was all blocked off with orange tape (temporarily!), as arborists were busy trimming the large deodar cedar looming over the bench. A necessary precaution, I'm sure!
Berkeley Castle is a castle in the town of Berkeley, Gloucestershire, England. The castle's origins date back to the 11th century, being designated by English Heritage as a Grade I-listed building. The castle has remained in the possession of the Berkeley family since they reconstructed it in the 12th century, except for a period of royal ownership under the Tudors. Since 1956, Berkeley Castle has been open to visitors.

This view gives some idea of the situation of the "east bay cities" and their location between the water and the hills. Berkeley tends to have more trees than some other nearby cities, due to a policy of street planting.
