Onderweg van Italië naar Slovenië kwamen we een drietal klassiekers tegen die meededen aan de Peaks of the Alps and Dolomites 2021. En het waren nog Nederlanders ook! De Bentley Speed 8 komt uit 1948 (!), bijzonder om zo'n bejaarde klassieker (73 jaar oud) zo ver van huis te zien. De Morgan erachter is een stuk jonger, uit 1990.

On our way from Italy to Slovenia we came across three classics that participated in the Peaks of the Alps and Dolomites 2021. And they were Dutch! The Bentley Speed 8 is from 1948 (!), special to see such an eldery classic (73 years old) so far from home. The Morgan behind it is much younger, from 1990.

$250,000 Bentley in HDR, 3 exposures, another one added to get the engine shot through the hood, car and sky in color, everything else b&w. Shot at the unveiling of the 2009 Flying Spur Speed event at Minneapolis Auto Motorplex last fall.
It was a first attempt at showing the engine through the hood when it is closed and I couldn't quite get a perfect dissolving edge between the sheet metal and the block so any tips would be greatly appreciated!
