My Great-Great-Great Grandfather, the Reverend Benjamin Watson. He was a traveling preacher who came to the Republic of Texas sometime in the early 1840's and served the religious needs of several small communities in North East Texas by serving as their pastor. Today his name can be found on several historical markers for his contributions in the area. His grave can be found in the Cemetery of Bethlehem Baptist Church near Farmersville, Texas, one of several churches where his sermons were heard. He is buried here with his wife, my Great-Great-Great Grandmother, Rebecca Ann (Moore) Watson.
