To appreciate this photo you have to zoom in close (the brown paper, for example) to see how the color works. It's not how a camera normally works, but it is how impressionist painters used color.

unscheduled Belle Train on the RCPE headed towards Belle Fourche, South Dakota, 3446 3428 3462

A pair of KCS Belle's lead Charlotte bound ethanol loads through the control point at Poplar on the former Clinchfield mainline.

KCS 1 and the Christmas train cut through the swamps in Sorrento, Louisiana, on their way south towards the wye at Reserve a few miles distance. With the sun being low in the western sky this time of year the normally backlit angle here turned out quite nicely for the train as it sprinted south. Here the crew is on their last few miles of an all day sprint out of Shreveport for the LaPlace showing. With nothing in their way they will make it to Laplace without incident.

"Enchanted? Ha-ha ha-ha! Who said anything about the castle being enchanted?"

Well now, if you're out wandering and looking for a place that feels like a deep breath after a long day, you might want to stop by Ma Belle’s First Coffee. It’s not just a café—it’s a warm embrace in a ceramic cup.

Step through the door, and the world outside fades into the background. The hum of conversation, the scent of fresh-brewed coffee, the way the light catches in the steam curling up from your cup—it all reminds you that sometimes, the simplest things make the biggest difference.

This is a place of welcome, a place of love. A place where time slows just enough for you to catch up—with an old friend, with your own thoughts, or maybe just with the joy of a perfectly crafted latte.

It’s a place of healing, too—not in a grand, dramatic way, but in the quiet restoration that comes from kindness, warmth, and a moment spent simply being. You don’t have to say much. You don’t have to be anything other than yourself. Just take a seat, take a sip, and let life settle around you in the way that only a good coffee shop can.

We’ll keep the coffee hot. You just bring yourself.

...oh I don't know. This is my middle name, and was my great grandma's middle name. I hear she was a pretty cool lady, I never got the chance to meet her.

When I got this I went in and said I wanted Latino-Ghetto-Script and this is what i got... exactly how I pictured it.

Belle's house from 'Beauty and the Beast'. Since seeing the movie last spring I knew I wanted to build a Lego version and the CCC Village Life category gave me a good reason. :)

I should have know that when I posted my KCS train shot near Acorn, Arkansas the other day that the Canadian Pacific-Kansas City Southern merger would be approved, and at 11 am today, 03-15-2023 the KCS became another Fallen Flag. So a new transportation era begins on the Canadian Pacific-Kansas City Railroad. What kind of paint scheme might emerge? So my drone took to the sky on 11-01-2020 a mile south of Heavener, Oklahoma to record this north bound empty grain train. Long live the Belle KCS paint scheme!!! 1180

Belle's work is never done.

Seemed fitting to share this picture as tomorrow I’ll be going to Paris for the very first time! 😀 Which one is your favorite?

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

The morning after the night before, the Beast wasn't quite as handsome without her beer goggles on. Unfortunately for Belle, when she found out she was pregnant, she felt she had no choice but to stick with him.

Hair and makeup & help buying the dress - the wonderful Jess!

It was really cool having Jess help me shoot today! We had a lot of fun coming up with ideas and she did a seriously great job making me look the part. We went to the local costume shop to see if they had a Belle outfit, but to no avail. So we did the next best thing - we hired out a wedding dress.

Thanks to @urusai_baka.disney.dolls on Instagram for the beautiful Belle doll head! I customized a 2011 DS Belle dress just for her and, of course, did her hairstyle. I love how she came out! What do you think?
