Was here on a business trip. Sadly my stay here was very short. It always is every time I come here!😢
Located on Alter Rd and Kercheval on Detroit's Lower East Side bordering the Grosse Pointe suburbs. I've Googled this building, but I've yet to find the name. One thing that had thrilled me for many moons is this doorway on the side of the building. Whether of Middle Eastern origin, or South Asian, I don't know, but despite the urban blight surrounding it while bordering the suburbs, its beauty had held together over the years.

I can't figure out why the image looks so painterly...it came from the camera this way but my settings were no different than normal. My initial guess is that the soft look is created by a combination of movement and shallow DOF...just enough movement to soften everything but not blur it? In any case, PP included no goofy filters, just levels, curves and some tinting.

Drive anywhere
Do what you want
I don't care
Tonight
I'm in the hands of fate
I hand myself
Over on a plate..."

a.k.a. "Stuck"
Let's take a trip, me and you
to places long forgotten, places never seen.
Let's leave now before we change
our minds...our bodies.
Let's go together and share the joys,
of being there, of being one, of...being.
