....e se invece sto leggendo Hegel
mi concentro, sono tutto preso
non da Hegel, naturalmente
ma dal mio fascino di studioso....

Woo! I'll put my money on this message having been left by an angry and frustrated virgin in a skip cap and trackies.
Many (more than I thought!) fish can change colours for a nightime cammoflage. This is a bunch of 4 anemonefish in all black. Hadn't seen this before.
Rhesus Macaques around vehicles at the midway stopover during tourist safari in Chilla range of Rajaji National Park, Uttarakhand.
This has been made a mandatory stopover point during the safari in Chilla. With the occupants being away, there were a number of wild monkeys going through leftovers and trash in the safari vehicles. They were also following vehicles looking for handouts. While this behaviour is standard among stray monkeys in urban areas, to see such behaviour modification among monkeys in the wild was very disheartening.
Further, the authorities - in their apparent over-zealousness to get Chilla on the tourism map - seem to have turned this safari into a carnival for casual tourists and an opportunity for greedy organisers to make a quick buck, rather than a serious nature experience for wildlife enthusiasts.
Es algo al borde de lo cómico, esto de que los problemas aclaren tanto la mente a veces. Y yo soy un travesti xD
These pigeons were tunnelling into the snowbank at the corner of my street -- they pecked all the way down to the grass!
Attitudes, Beliefs, and Online Behaviour Interpretation
*Volunteers needed for psychology research*
Researchers at Swansea University, in collaboration with the Welsh Government, are conducting research on factors that contribute to differences in individuals’ interpretations of, attitudes towards, and outcome beliefs surrounding various digital and online interactions. This is the second stage of larger-scale research seeking to develop a novel proactive educational intervention that can be integrated into current policies to prevent sexual harassment.
Some questions are of a sensitive nature and it may not be immediately clear why we are asking them. However, it is important for our research that you answer them fully and honestly. We will then tell you a bit more about why we asked you them at the end of the questionnaire.

A small group of goldeneye was hunching low to the water before every dive. No idea why -- when they'd stop foraging they'd stop doing this, and other ducks in the vicinity didn't try anything similar.
