We were treated to a particularly psychedelic sunrise this morning & couldn't help myself from picking out the turbines on the horizon with my telephoto zoom lens. Had to do a bit of cropping to get to where the action was in the photo. I used to think that turbines were a great idea but we had too many of them around here. But I have now learned to love their beauty. Plus we need much more clean energy. Bring on wind & sun power.

24:52 Collaboration: I was sent this stunning image to process by my very talented friend www.flickr.com/photos/traceyanddan. Thank you Tracey for giving me this beauty, plus the view without the climb! :)

$3500 for this old 1963 warrior. You better have a little extra scratch for parts, not to mention a great set of tools. I have the latter, but don't think I want to plunge into the money pit that would open if I were to buy this old beauty. Plus, Marg might kill me.

I haven't posted any orchids for quite some time, so it's high time for some pretty flower pictures now. The dark red helleborine or royal helleborine isn't one of the severely threatened species of orchids, but I'm always happy anyway to find one of these beauties. Plus they smell wonderfully like vanilla, especially in hot and dry weather.

Fragrant climbing rose 'Summer Wine' from my beautiful garden. Another name for this variety is 'Freisinger Morgenröte'.

I'm not a specialist in the category of roses, but this one seemed beautiful to me when I bought it, and now it repays me with its beauty. Plus it smells great (take my word for it)

What a treat I had this morning to finally see for the first time (yes, a lifer) the wonderful Indigo Bunting (in Bedford, Qc). I was hoping the sun would be more present to bring out its rich, bold hues, but at least, I got to see it close up. This little bird from the cardinal family travels up to us all the way from southern Florida and some of them winter as far as South America! What a beauty! Plus, blue is my favorite color. Love it!

We love photographing the big raptors., and perhaps this one shot explains why

Power., majesty and beauty., plus the potential for spectacular action make them (for us) an irresistible 'magnet' when we plan our days out

We wondered if over a seven day period we could go out and get 'reasonable' shots of the 'big four'.. Kite., Buzzard., Osprey and Marsh Harrier

It'll be up to others to decide if the shots are 'reasonable'., but it's been a terrific and exciting week of photography

Garuda Indonesia currently has 3 aircraft painted in a retro livery - a 737, 777 and this A330. The airline has certainly been keeping spotters busy throughout the pandemic with these beauties plus the various Ayo Pakai Masker series aircraft.

The gloriously named (and coloured) Superb Starling (Lamprotornis superbus) hails from East Africa. Breeding pairs get help raising their chicks from other family group members, notably juveniles from the previous brood – how about that for community living?

I encountered this handsome beauty, plus its family and friends, at Kuala Lumpur’s 21-acre Bird Park, home to more than 200 species and 3,000 individual birds. Much of the park comprises a ‘free flying’ area, where the nets are so high and so wide that the birds, to all intents and purposes, are pretty much free range. Simulating their natural habitats and diets has also led to a successful captive breeding programme.

A Patreon bonus image of my other two purist Kryptonians from the Superman II photoshoot. ...I mean, how could I build Zod and not those other two beauties?!

Plus, now that the second CMF Batman Series is right around the corner, I suppose it makes this photo irrelevant now :P

Ponca City, OK

I'd been thru Ponca City before but never saw this beauty. Plus....the clouds!

We spent two nights and three days here along the rocky shores of Alice Lake. We couldn't ask for more in terms of views and overall beauty, plus it was a great jumping off point for day hikes.

On a photography note, I purchased a Hasselblad SWC right before this trip. I got it in the mail days before we left so there wasn't much time to test it out, but I somehow made room in my backpack along with my 500cm and Fuji.....yeah, my pack was WAY too heavy.

'm pretty happy with this image overall. In general, the SWC will often be too wide for landscape photography, but with the tent, packs, and trees in the foreground I think it works.

This is officially the first image in my Flickr stream not made with my 500cm, but it's film and it's square so it fits in pretty nicely. The jury is still out as to whether the SWC will be a

long term, never gonna sell camera.....but regardless it was fun on this outing and I look forward to seeing how it performs (or rather how I perform with it) in other situations.

My husband could not see the point in this photo saying it's just a weed!!

I said it's survival of a cut down tree and a thing of beauty. Plus I think it's a cracking photo. :)

we came out with three boxes of these beauties, plus cake and chocolate. and still we must return one day for more.

i don't remember if i enhanced this one with Beauty Plus, or not.

I know I'm forgetting someone here, but it's late...

Hope to see some of you down there!!

I'm getting on my high horse again....How can anyone look at this view and think, I know what would look good here, a huge marina with 1,300 houses running along the front of the cliff, with restaurants, shops and lots of other so called tourist attractions!! Obviously someone who's not in their right mind, or alternatively some greedy, selfish, arrogant person, who has not an ounce of respect towards Mother Nature. A couple of years ago a plan was put forward by Hastings Harbour Quarter Ltd to do just this and the local council at the time took the plan seriously by coming up with what was in their opinion all the advantages of it. Jobs, housing, helpful for the fishermen e.t.c. There's plenty of jobs, we have plenty of derelict buildings and the fishermen hadn't even been consulted to begin with. Everyone knew that the plan was just being sugar coated to make it seem more attractive. This site is an area of natural outstanding beauty, plus a special site of scientific interest. There have been many special fossil finds and it also has some of the best examples of algae in the world, but despite this over a million was spent on a feasibility study. Myself and the majority of others felt physically sick at the idea and desperately frustrated that there would inevitably be nothing we could do to prevent them destroying our little piece of paradise. This beautiful spot is a restful haven for many. A place where people come to reeenergise, a place that brings comfort and a place that eases a lot of troubled minds. Family and friends meet up to socialise, bbq, swim and kayak around the stunning coastline. A really enjoyable cheap day out, when for a lot of people money is tight. Everywhere needs a place like this for people to come and lift their listless souls from time to time and to destroy it would show a total lack of feeling and disrespect for people's opinions. Well, there was uproar, lots of petitions, angry letters and it has all gone quiet for a while. We all know not to become complacent though, as no doubt it will all rear it's ugly head again. The sad thing is that we all know the greedy powers that be, won't be happy until all our naturally beautiful sights that we've been blessed with are all concreted over and destroyed forever for financial gain.

Captured out side my from door, these beauties plus more were loving the Lavender :O)

today was my first day in physical therapy and i am dedicating this to my great therapist, Geoff who not only is intelligent, gentle but firm, humorous and kind but also such a great teacher!!! he really helped me not only physically but emotionally as well. Here's to Geoff and so many of the great health professionals who bring such relief and joy into our lives!!!

this wooded area, which is also right off the ocean, was not so very long ago just dirt roads and while it has been built up, still retains a woody, quiet aura.

This Is A Breathtaking View Seen From Few Meters Above The Tatopani Kund, Sindhupalchok. I Am Sure Whoever Has Visited Tatopani Kund, Has Seen This View.

The First Thing I Babbled When I Saw The View Was " What An Amazing Landscape. Nature Is Crazy & The People Who Built The Houses At Such Terrific Place Are Awesomely- Freakingly-Super-Crazy!"

This Is The Height Of Nature's Beauty Plus Craziness! That Said, I Understand That They Have Their Own Issues & Are Enforced To Live That Way.

I THINK i ran this thru Beauty Plus but i'm not positive. December 26, 2017

Sheep are awesome, right? They give us wool, cheese, and meat, and they're super cute and fluffy. But did you know that sheep are also very important for Dutch agriculture? Yeah, you heard me. Sheep help keep the grasslands healthy and fertile, and they prevent soil erosion and flooding. They also contribute to biodiversity and landscape beauty. Plus, they're a source of income and pride for many farmers and shepherds. So next time you see a sheep, give it a hug and say thank you. It's doing a lot for the Netherlands!

New Hair colour, although admittedly sexed up with Beauty Plus

You all probably know i'm not a big fan of heavily retouching my photos, but considering the bad lighting, time of night, etc. I figured it wouldnt hurt to cheat a little bit. Besides, the originals have been up long enough for everyone to get a look at what i REALLY look like.

ALSO run thru Beauty Plus. I was at a bar, killing time while i was waiting for a friend to show up.

Ran this one thru Beauty Plus, to dial up the red.

While en route to Thórsmörk we stopped at the side of the road and were welcomed by these really friendly horses.

Compare and contrast this Beauty Plus altered pic with the original. November, 2023.

Just look! In spite of water splashing everywhere, they all have their eyes open. It was a gorgeous day. The Golden Retrievers I'm sure of. The black one, maybe a black lab, not sure. One lady seemed to own all 3 of these beauties plus a much smaller one that wasn't super big on swimming, although did a little.

On July 29, 2022 I posted this on the ABCs and 123s group as Number 3.

One of many at the Eastlake Power Plant today. The steam was very thick coming off of the water. Making visibility poor. The air with wind chill was -17! The cold air hitting the warmer water from the power plant created all the steam. But I was very happy to see at least a dozen of these beauties plus a Red-throated Loon! Stonehenge

Salisbury District, UK

(Near West Amesbury)

Before going to Stonehenge, I'd heard from many people that it wasn't as impressive as I'd thought it would be. They spoke of crowding, distance from the stones, the nearby highway, etc.

They were wrong.

I'm sure it helped that we had a beautiful day there, but in my opinion the perimeter/path they give you around the stones is close enough to see them well but preserve their beauty, plus it spreads the crowd out well so you don't feel crowded.

I'd recommend seeing them to anybody.
