The bay of Ghajn Tuffieha with its beach in Malta

I loved the beautiful sky almost as much as I loved the beautiful color when a friend and I walked this wonderful field. Back then, the color was still not at peak. Isn't it good that a thing does not have to be perfect in order to be wonderful?!

Icebergs in Jokulsarlon lagoon - Southern Iceland

Handheld shot from Meols Beach in North West England. The forecast was for high cloud and very little low. This would have provided a decent sunset. Unfortunately they got it the wrong way round!

The Lighthouse at Perch Rock is in New Brighton, Merseyside, in the North West of England.

Often said to be the most photographed tree in the UK. This is the Lone Tree of Llyn (lake) Padarn. The lake has become a favourite with paddle boarders as well as photographers, but for once I had it all to myself. At sunset, a beautiful tranquility settles on the scene and soft light plays on the lake and the mountains in the background. This is a location I hope to return to again and again as every time I come the light is different.

A small salt island is my base for this amazing blue hour view - this is a panorama of 10 images stitched together with Lightroom.

The Great Salt Lake - GPS is not the exact spot of the shot.

It was a beautiful sunset evening and looking over the water below the mountains, I saw these geese enjoying their swim. The water was that colour on this evening, a pale mauve/pink from the sunset.

I decided to drive the short journey to this lake to catch the sunset. I'm so pleased I did, it really was so beautiful and so many birds. I had also seen a kingfisher earlier on in the day when I was dog walking ❤all in all I had a really nice day.

An hour after sunrise over Eryri Mountains.

Stunning light and reflections.

Llyn Padarn is a glacially formed lake in Snowdonia, Gwynedd, north Wales, and is an example of a moraine dammed lake. The lake is approximately 2 miles long and at its deepest point is 94 feet deep, and is one of the largest natural lakes in Wales. At its south-eastern end it is linked to the neighbouring Llyn Peris.

Left early last Saturday morning, to arrive at Derwentwater and get in position for dawn.

This tree struggles for sustenance from a crack in the rocks. Some nice pastel shades in the sky and snow on Blencathra in the background.

I was here two weeks ago and the water level was so high, it was impossible to get this shot.

Many thanks for your views, faves and supportive comments. These are always very much appreciated.

Here's another point of view of this abandoned schoolhouse I posted a while back. One of my favorite schoolhouses I photo’d.

Crank Hill at 7.00 am this morning. There was a lot more high cloud forecast and a lot less low cloud, which would have given a more spectacular sunrise but unfortunately you can't win them all!

A handheld image.

Say that a few times an see if you can lol...

The sun sets in the west (obviously ) so you have to be up pretty early to get a sunrise at this very flat featureless part of the Lincolnshire coast but as I happen to love these chalets and hadn't got a photo of their backsides I was very pleased to photograph them in the setting sun and getting the sky and sun reflections in the second chalet from the right :))

This image was captured on a mobile phone and sent to me. The location is the Central Coast of NSW looking westwards towards a stormy sunset.

Can't visit North Wales without visiting my tree, such a beautifully restful location, (once I've deleted all the paddle boarders!)

One of my 5 most favourite locations, so peaceful and calming. I try to arrange visits when the wind forecast is low so the water surface is like a mirror reflecting The Langdale Pikes and just behind the tarn, the beautiful little Side Pike, which I hope to walk up this year (while I'm still able!) as it affords some lovely views back to the tarn.

Here's the abandoned farmhouse on the beautiful prairie in Boone County, Nebraska.

Same farmhouse I posted yesterday or so, but different point of view.
