I was surprised and a bit disturbed to come across what appeared to be a fence equipped with a bazooka. Then I realized it wasn't a bazooka at all but a length of irrigation pipe. Now the only question is: what's a pipe doing on a fence?

I've always loved builds by Eero Okkonen, and wanted to build a little tribute to have some fun with the dots bracelets!
I've always had a closet jealousy for people who can blow bubbles. My Grandma always buys me packs and packs of Bazooka bubble gum but I can't even blow a single bubble. But really it isn't that bad, I don't even really like the taste of gum, I'd prefer mints hands down.

a pear from our pear tree in the garden - this one has a really bizarre 'eye of Horus' vibe to it, a bit like it's watching you.. tastes surprisingly terrible on its own so we tend to shove it in the oven with stuff.
as a biophysicist, the golden pattern on the pear looks very interesting to me. in an ideal world it would be tiny hexagons* tessellated to form a surface (as many things are in bio contexts) but external factors such as sunlight/nutrients and etc, can cause it to be irregular. The way they spread out is quite neat, organic and locally random yet somewhat regular if we zoom out a bit. I would not be surprised if cell malfunctions spread in a similar way (with different time scales ofc). Imagine if we figured out how cancer spreads from a nice-ish picture of a bizarre looking pear! :D
*if you zoom in, it looks like a regular honeycomb structure built by slightly drunk people...
Anyway, I just wanted a gold/green pic, it isn't a combo that occurs naturally (well..) in London.
Seed bead embroidery with peyote stitched edge on lacy stiff stuff. 8 3/4" x 6 1/4" work, professionally matted and framed in white wood edge frame with UV glass. This was the last piece finished in 2022

Could not resist trying out and having my picture taken with my friend's borrowed 400mm f/2.8 L lens mounted on an EOS 1-Ds Mark II during the First Game of the Finals of the UAAP Juniors Basketball tournament. My friend, Jun Barrameda is a professional photographer and a Media Arts/photography professor at the College of St Benilde De La Salle University. He borrowed this from the school just for the event.
Jun said that the entire thing would cost more than an AUV! The camera and the lens weighed like a ton ( they say that the lens alone weighs like 13lbs)! Holding the cam and the lens for a shot is basically for show. With its combined weight, this is best operated, in my opinion, with a sturdy tripod.
One thing about the Canon EOS 1-Ds Mark II, is that the sound of the shutter is nothing like a click. It is more like the sound of a bullet-less gun!
My camera felt weightless after trying out this one! Just wanted to share with you. Happy weekend!
