On the last autumn evening, when the last rays of the sun were shining, in the middle of the Ruhr district of Bochum Hordel I made this beautiful autumn picture when I returned from my autumn walk. While a lot of nature is destroyed in Bavaria, a lot of trees are planted in the Ruhr area, and many natural oasis of well-being are created. Have fun viewing.

Schloss Nymphenburg is a palace located in the west of Munich and one of the main tourist attractions of the city, with yearly over 300,000 visitors,

The palace is the main summer residence of the House of Wittelsbach, former rulers of Bavaria.

Commisioned in 1664, the central building in the style of an Italian Villa was completed in 1675. Gradually the sides were added and the current appearance was reached in 1716.

Seen in the "desert" - there's a small patch of land in the westernmost part of the Fröttmaninger Heide that resembles a rocky desert on a dry winter day.

The Fröttmaninger Heide itself is a former military training area and now a nature reserve.

A wonderful location to relax. I loved the old fruit trees.

It was an icy cold evening and I was well prepared and wore many layers of clothes...and so I could really enjoy this wonderful sunset...

Special greetings to my English friends - do you still remember this one? Way back in the good old days in 1990; Germany won the championship, but England sang the better song ;-)

New Order - World in Motion (1990)

P.S.: I was always wondering why a football song talks about love - so I did some research. Here is what I found:

When the FA (English Football Association) heard "love's got the world in motion", they asked the band to replace "love's" with "we've". The band refused. "It's an anti-hooligan song", they said.

Looking at all the trouble everywhere around us these days, I'd wish there was more love among men.

Love's got the world in motion - without the world will stop turning.

Happy Valentine's greetings to all of you :-)

For those who are no longer with us...

Franconian Switzerland is a region in Northern Bavaria. As several other mountainous landscapes in the German-speaking lands, e.g. Holstein Switzerland, Märkische Schweiz, or Pommersche Schweiz, Franconian Switzerland was given its name by Romantic artists and poets in the 19th century who compared the landscape to Switzerland.
