This is a beautiful beach and all sorts of people - young and old - are enjoying their time here under the gorgeous sun. I was instantly attracted by this old couple sitting on the white bench and facing the wonderful Baie des Anges, Bay of Angels. They were simply relaxing and enjoying the sun and the breeze. I guess they were probably thinking the same thing: "I can stay here all day!"
I find the bright sunlight plus the blue versus white contrast adds a blissful touch of life to this portrait too:-)

A view look inside Old Town Nice (Vieux Nice). Designated UNESCO World Heritage Site in July 2021. A great little beach town with lots of charm. The history here and neighboring towns is enough to keep you busy. A great base to take day trips to Cannes, Monaco, St. Paul de Vence, Antibes , Menton, and too many more to name or stay here and relax on the Promenade Des Anglais. The beaches along the Promenade des Anglais in Nice on the French Riviera. Taken as we climbed the steps up the Chateau, the 300-foot-high hill from which Nice defended itself against invasion from the sea.
Nice has a four-mile long beach along the "Promenade des Anglais". As shown, the beach is a rock beach.
The opening scenes of Alfred Hitchcock's "To Catch a Thief" (although shot from a hotels/apartment balcony off to the right) overlooks this part of the beach and the "Promenade des Anglais". The Hotel Negresco (the pink dome) appears in that frame/scene from the movie.
Quai des États-Unis and its westward continuation Promenade des Anglais stretch along the Bay of Angels at Nice, France. It is the Mediterranean's most spectacular seaside promenade.
Surprisingly, a somewhat uncommon sight in this part of the French Riviera. Most (public) beaches are rock or pebble beaches.
