Murnau Bavaria a small city in Oberbayern

The Bavaria is a monumental bronze statue cast between 1844 and 1850.

Since Classical Antiquity it was the first statue that consists entirely of cast bronze, therefore it was and is up to the present day considered a technological masterpiece. Due to its size it had to be cast in several pieces.

It stands 18.52 meters tall and weighs about 87 tons. An internal circular staircase leads up to a platform in the head, where four openings in the helmet provide a view of the Theresienwiese and downtown Munich.

Neuschwanstein embodies both the contemporaneous architectural fashion known as castle romanticism, and King Ludwig II's enthusiasm for the operas of Richard Wagner. At the time of King Ludwig's death the palace was far from complete. He slept only 11 nights in the castle.

Gersthofen is a municipality in the district of Augsburg, in Bavaria, Germany. It is situated on the west bank of the Lech River, approx. 7 km north of Augsburg. Gersthofen is divided into five districts: Batzenhofen, Edenbergen (with Gailenbach and Gailenbacher Mühle), Gersthofen, Hirblingen, and Rettenbergen (with Peterhof).

I took this from near Neuschwanstein castle. The settlement in the foreground services the visitors to the Schloss.

It was the first Rococo church of Old Bavaria and shaped the development of religious architecture in Bavaria.
