More than 700 Airmen assigned to Flights 271-286 receive their Airman’s coin during the 737th Training Group Coin and Retreat Ceremony at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, April 2, 2025. The ceremony is one of three graduation events for the Department of the Air Force, Basic Military Training, and signifies the transition from trainee to Airman. Lt. Col. William Byrne, 321st Training Squadron commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Valeria Andrade, 321 TRS Senior Enlisted Leader, were the guest speakers for the ceremony. The 37th Training Wing, known as the “Gateway to the Air Force,” is home to BMT.

Holmdel First Aid Squad two day Basic Extrication Class. Day1 was in the classroom explaining our objects and the tools used. Day 2 was tool time. 15 members learned about vehicle stabilization and got hands on experience extracting a patient from a wrecked vehicle. Both pneumatic tools and battery operated tools were used including cutters, spreaders, and combi-tools. Three groups of 5 members each worked on 3 different vehicles. After lunch we divided into 2 groups that worked on two larger SUV vehicles that were on their side.
