For this basic element shot, the use of focus was very important. I used the manual setting and then took a picture of the same object in focus and then out of focus. I then merged the two image into a frame together on the iPad so they could be presented together.
Our daughter has spent more hours playing with this basic "no frills" toy then she has the more expensive "popular" toys. It seems the more basic the toy the more fun our kids have with it.

doesn't have the bells and whistles yet; this is just the basic structure so far. Planning to add textures, icons, and play around with different typefaces before committing to this design, but the layout will likely stay the same.
I thought I had managed to find a rare species - a pay phone
Not much left of it
in a few years I doubt you will be able to find even a vandalized one
I remember spending hours on a pay phone when I was in Basic and AIT at Ft Bliss
I could wedge myself up in the "half booth" that AT&T was making at the time
the Drill Sergeants would look out of their office window and as long as they didnt see legs, they assumed no one was on the phones
:)

High key photography. I didn't take this alone, Me and my good friend Sakki (the other one on the photo) did this together, and we had good help from the third one called POG.
Knit in a couple days time, I used No No Kitty yarns which I think has closed shop. What a shame because their yarns are amazing. Knit on 3.75 inox circulars using magic loop method. I followed the basic stockinette sock pattern from Greetings from Knit Cafe by Susan Mischer. Lovely book, lots of fun patterns. I made the large size thinking it would fit my swollen pregnancy feet but they are a tad bit too big. I have yet to block them, perhaps it will felt them a bit and they will shrink?
