Der Ausblick vom Bruderholzrain über die Stadt war gestern besonders schön. Nur eine Minute später allerdings verschwand die Sonne hinter einer dicken Wolke.
Throwback-Thursday in Basel: Längst vorbei ist die Zeit der O-Busse in Basel - am 30. Juni 2008 wurde die letzte Linie auf Dieselbetrieb umgestellt. Gut 20 Jahre vorher war Tr 51 Nr. 358 als Linie 33 nahe des badischen Bahnhofs auf Wendefahrt, gefolgt von einem Standardwagen-Gespann.
Ein ICN am Lötschberg bzw. hier im Aaretal: der RABDe500 015 unterwegs mit dem VT612 der DB als Überfuhr nach einer Inspektionsfahrt zwischen Frutigen und Thun (Uttigen, 31.05.2018).

Today, you can comfortably walk from the Kunstmuseum across the Wettsteinbrücke to Museum Tinguely and – on hot days – float down the river beneath the bridge, and you can also travel directly by tram, car or bicycle from the main railway station (Bahnhof SBB) to the German railway station (Badischer Bahnhof) or vice versa. Tip: From the bridge you get a great view of Basel's cathedral – don't forget your camera!
Because of the difference in elevation between Grossbasel and Kleinbasel, the bridge used to be known as the “sloping bridge of Basel” in former times – a humorous allusion to the Leaning Tower of Pisa. It takes its real name in homage to the former mayor, Johann Rudolf Wettstein (1594 – 1666).

A green Basel tramway in the green forest! Be 4/4 458 (Schindler SWP, built in 1967) with trailer B4 1494 (FFA / SWP, built in 1972) in the Wolfschlucht in Basel on on its way to Bruderholz.
