The Pru was Lit green one last time tonight as the Celtics and Lakers battled in game 7 of the NBA finals in LA. The lights just went out as I took these shots, a couple mins apart.
Congratulations to the Lakers. It was a low scoring, often sloppy, very scrappy, hard fought (especially defensively), and, at the end, thrilling, but hugely disappointing game 7. Kobe struggled, the C's (sans Perk) led until the last 6 mins, and were up by as much as 13 in the 3rd, but an offensive lull (with very little from Ray Allen) in the 4th resulted in the Celtics' watching #banner18 slip away. Heartbreaking for C's fans. But a phenomenal series.

The Pru was Lit green tonight in honor of the Celtics squaring off against the Lakers for game 1 of the NBA finals in LA. The Lakers dominated the C's throughout the game. This angry sky swirling around the green lit Pru captures my mood after LA's big game 1 win.

watching the Celtics kick the Magic's butt in game six and advance to the NBA finals (#wewantLA, #beatLA, #banner18) was more fun w/ twitter running. I make a joke with one of the funniest guys on twitter, @BrilliantOrange, about Bill Russell being more deserving of a statue in front of Boston Garden than Bobby Orr (see here) . . . and legal and political commentator Karen Russell, Bill Russell's daughter, picks it up and RTs (retweets) it, starting a conversation. Try as it might, the lightning just couldn't reach and hit the Pru the other night. After another lightning bolt's fail, below, this bolt decided to try an underhanded approach and sneak up from underneath. Stretch as it might, it still came up short. Better luck next storm charging the Pru.
